    • R8 is the best out-of-the-box full-frame webcam.

You just go into the config and choose streaming. Then it’s a USB webcam without any need for an app. Tho you should get a power adapter. As a still camera, it’s a great second-body to go with your R6 mk ii. (If only they used the same batteries.) It’s super lightweight, and still has EVF.

Been using panasonic s5iis for a while now and I wanted to get an R8 to compare and use in my wedding videos. So far I used it once yesterday at a video session. Paired the r8 with an adapter and Canon ef 50mm f1.4. Video and Af performance is so good with the r8. AF performance is much better than the s5ii while using the canon ef lens.     • Re-newed with a non-Canon battery. Battery indicator doesn't work with a real Canon battery.

Renewal process involved a non-Canon battery and charger. With the non oem battery the battery indicator doesn't work on a Canon. Otherwise the R8 is fantastic.
