Description

The EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens from Canon improves upon its predecessor, one of the most acclaimed lenses in the Canon EF line, with superior performance, increased speed and optical quality. This lens construction consists of one fluorite and five ultra-low dispersion optical elements which help deliver the sharpness and reduced aberrations. The IS II Optical Image Stabilizer provides up to 4 stops of correction at all focal lengths and features two modes for stabilization of still objects and while panning to follow moving subjects. An ultrasonic focusing motor provides fast, smooth and silent autofocus action.

Update- I've been taking scenic photos and realized there's quite a bit of large dust particles in this. Very upsetting when looking back and realizing it's noticable. Original- This lens is VERY heavy. BUT the positives outweigh the negatives by a LOT. Lets start with the lens came in great shape. It came with a case, lens cap, base cap, and Lens hood. None of which I expected but GREATLY appreciated. Making this a much better purchase than others out there. It will take a bit to get used to the settings best for this lens. Images are from my first time out with this lens. I shot in RAW and used photoshop to adjust -slight color adjustments to my liking and then to Jpeg images from there. But nothing further. It will take time to get used to the settings and what settings are best for which sports depending on light. Overall it has been a lot of fun taking it out and getting some great shots with it. ... show more

Oh lordy there's a reason people love this lens. It is magnificent. The images are razor-sharp, the autofocus is fast, and the image stabilization is rock solid. This is a 10/10 lens and I WILL be using it whenever and wherever I can. Be forewarned — this guy's heavy. Way heavier than any lens I've had before. So maybe work your forearms and deltoids a bit. I own and have been using the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0L is USM zoom lens for the past 4 or 5 years so it was really all about the getting the F/2.8 aperture setting. And today, I finally had a chance to take a couple of pictures with the refurbished lens... It did not disappoint. I won't dwell on the quality of the lens because anyone that does any kind of research already knows the lens has a great reputation. So instead I'd like to offer kudos to Amazon Market Place vendor "Global Camera USA" on the quality of the lens refurbishment (exceptional) and customer service/responsiveness (also exceptional). And big bonus... I saved $$$$ by buying a renewed lens! Thank you (Fred b) for expediting the shipment of the lens.
