Description

The EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens from Canon improves upon its predecessor, one of the most acclaimed lenses in the Canon EF line, with superior performance, increased speed and optical quality. This lens construction consists of one fluorite and five ultra-low dispersion optical elements which help deliver the sharpness and reduced aberrations. The IS II Optical Image Stabilizer provides up to 4 stops of correction at all focal lengths and features two modes for stabilization of still objects and while panning to follow moving subjects. An ultrasonic focusing motor provides fast, smooth and silent autofocus action.

Love this lens! The image quality is beautiful. The autofocus is fast. The lens is a little heavier than non-professional grade, but well worth it. The L series is the only way to go! Also, the f2.8 is a MUST in low light situations. With way the images are crisp and clear!

Offers a lot of versatility to me for semi close wildlife and portrait photography. The weight is bulky but less than my 100-400mm. Getting extremely sharp photos, and durability seems like it's built like a tank, even though I'm not throwing it around, I feel it can handle my abuse of of not always keeping it in its case when I'm switching between wide angle and this out in the wild. ... show more

    • Not disappointed. "Excellent" condition lens
The manual focus ring does not change the focus and the lens is far from sharp. This is supposed to be an "excellent" condition refurbished lens. The outside of the lens looks fine, but the internals don't match the $1,500 price tag. Very dissappointed.

Maybe I was unlucky or maybe it's not "renewed" and just used/broken. The lens I received had dirty lenses, gouges on the front filter thread, loose rubber on the focus ring and that was before I turned it on after cleaning it. The lens made odd whirring noises unless I pointed it downward. Image stabilizer didn't work unless I turned it off and back on. Noises come back each time camera was turned off and on. I really wanted to save money, I guess you get what you pay for. Thankfully I was able to return it and get a refund. I'm guessing it was dropped at some point and was damaged internally.
