- USAGE: LIGHT SHADES USE: 0.001% - 0.005%; MEDIUM SHADES: USE0.01% - 0.05%, Dark Shades: USE 0.15% - 0.2%. When measuring dyes, measure by weight. Factors that may affect the amount of dye required for the desired shade include: The opacity of the wax, Wax additives such as stearic acid, polymers and microcrystalline wax & Fragrance. I love these colors!! The only thing I have an issue with is some of them are a bit leaky. ESP the red one. Since opening it I've found myself washing red off my hands and fingers, when I only picked up the tiny bottle to add some drops. It's a bit messy but I will be buying again, I just love how the colors turn out! keep a damp washcloth or paper towels nearby for needed rinsing of the hands so if you get some leaky ones you don't have to keep washing your hands :) LOVE LOVE LOVE though :D

These dyes work very well with my paraffin wax, and it's great having all of my colors in one small box. A little goes a long way, too. My only complaint is with the pink. I find it impossible to get a light pink color. I hope that Amazon keeps these in stock, because when they run out I'd like to reorder.

I love this set. There is a nice variety of colors, including multiple shades of brown, tan, ivory, etc. They are in an easy to use bottle which you use one drop at a time without making a mess everywhere. I love the purple color--very pretty shade. Would definitely recommend if you're just starting to make candles. Great practice set to see what else is out there.

These are pretty great, you get lots of colors and a good amount of dye in each bottle. Definitely worth the money.

I tried candle making for a bit and this was an easy way to color the wax. The color always ended up more pastel looking but still a good deal and maybe I would've been better with more practice.

The colors are absolutely beautiful!!! I love the variety of colors provided. I'm making car freshies and I am just amazed as to how beautiful the beads are looking as they're soaking up the dye. They do not have a scent and the dropper on the bottle sure came in handy. I'll be purchasing these again. I wish they sold them individually but I don't mind buying the entire set again with how beautiful they are. LOVE!!

I just started using these dyes today and couldn't be happier with the results so far. A little goes a long way. I was just adding 2 drops to one pound of wax and got good color saturation. The dyes mix quickly and dissolve completely. This seller sells these dyes individually and in larger bottles on their website candlwic.com. (not sure if I can put their url in the review).
