WOW is all I can say! On demand hot water from a propane tank and a water supply seems almost magical. Temperature adjust is true, and the water flow is good enough for a healthy shower. Ours will go along with our 1960 Traveleze restoration project, and work perfectly as an exterior option for shower or hot water washing. Just be sure not to use it in an enclosed space as it does vent hot exhaust and will quickly consume all the air in a little trailer. Ours will hang outside once the project is complete, with a connection to the inside sink and one for the outdoor shower. A very useful little hot water heater!

This product is outstanding. Now, it takes a bit more intelligence to operate then a Lego set but please read the directions. I have set the heater up in my garage and plumbed an additional line from my main water line which has a shut-off valve. I ran a hose from the valve to the unit so I don't have to hook up a hose every time I want to use it. I merely open the valve and have a constant water supply. Next, the propane tank sits on the ground and is turned on/off when needed..... that's it!!! With the water and gas on, all you do is push the "on" switch on the handle and the water flows and the unit ignites the propane to heat the water. I use city water so the pressure is perfect. The shower pressure is like a regular shower. The water is heated in seconds!! BE CAREFUL..... it can get extraordinarily hot !!! You can regulate the temperature by the following: To make hot ~increase gas or decrease water flow [using knobs on heater]. To cool ~ decrease gas and/or increase water flow. It takes just a few tries til you have the perfect temperature. I have the unit in my garage by the main door to my driveway. Primary reason for my purchase ~ to clean my dogs off after walks and for their baths. We decided on the 8L 2.11 GPM because we needed a bit bigger than the 5L and also wanted the auto shut-off [on handle]. When the water flow is shut off, the gas shuts off. Once you hit the switch on the handle and turn the water flow on again, the unit fires back up........ it's amazing!! It saves propane and is very safe. Again, read the directions, ensure all connections are made nice and tight. All supplies and extras are provided in the box. I wish I could take a picture of my set-up. I have this nice wash center in the corner of my garage. It's perfect and exactly what I wanted and needed. My digital temperature display is in Fahrenheit [some pictures show a Celsius display]. I love this heater !!!!

I purchased the Camplux 2.11 GPM portable water heater a few months back. I recently got around to installing the heater on my camper. Upon threading the fitting into the hot water exit port on the unit and finishing up the installation, I tested the product and noticed it leaking from the hot water exit port. Upon closer observation, I noticed that up inside the unit the copper tubing connecting the exit port to the unit was twisted up and destroyed, likely from threading the fitting on to the port. Unfortunately this tight of a threading of the fitting was required in order to keep that port from leaking in the first place, but also leads to easily destroying the connecting copper tubing. The nut that is up inside to prevent this situation from happening (counter torque) is covered by an aluminum plate and out of sight enough that it is easily missed, especially when installing this unit in tight/small places with minimal clearance underneath. The included instructions manual does not remark the specificity of this small but very important detail of the installation, nor does it show imaging of the proper way to attach the fitting to avoid this problem. There is also no direction on how much torque is needed to tighten this fitting enough to prevent leaking. When using the included wrench it is not easy to feel let alone see the copper tubing twisting up on itself until it leaks upon testing it out. It would be a major design improvement to secure this counter-torque nut to the frame of the unit in a way that prevents this problem from being possible. Be aware. Update: Camplux, aside from producing cheaply made products, has excellent customer service. They were quick to address my problem and send me a replacement unit for free, even after having the unit for a while before noticing the above issue. I reinstalled the new unit and it works very well. No issues and produces very hot water instantly. I have no doubts that by taking care of this unit it will serve me well for my purposes while I need it. Only time will tell.

I’ve been using this as a “pool heater” for my 12x24 above ground pool. So far it works great. On average I’m able to bring the pool temperature up by about 1 degree per hour with the 1.58 version.

We were having work done in our bathroom and decided to go with an outdoor shower ... for while the work was being performed and into the future. Because we are on well water, our water pressure is variable so I bought the unit that included a pump. We tried using the unit without the pump and it worked but the temperature varied to a fault and the water pressure was low. Finally I hooked up the pump and it now works great. I was surprised just how much of a difference the pump made. It has minimal and easily manageable variance in water temps and it now has much improved pressure. We did have a problem that the pump had a leak. I contacted customer service and they soon shipped a replacement pump. Even though our bathroom is now 100% functional, my wife and I both choose to shower outdoors more frequently than indoors.

I managed to break a part, totally my fault so I’m more than willing to pay, but the company won’t sell parts if you didn’t buy it from them. Since I bought it through Amazon I’m out the purchase price. Not only won’t they sell parts replacement parts but customer service is very difficult to contact or receive replies from. Interesting they only have a customer service email address and no phone number.
