Please disconnect all incoming and outgoing water lines to ensure proper drainage from the water heater. When not in use, fully disconnect gas, incoming and outgoing waterlines. This was a good buy. We live in a warm climate and we have an outdoor shower stall. We had been using solar but as it is nearing the couple of months that it is a tad cooler, we decided to buy this to see if we could still shower outside even in the cooler months. Oh heck yea! This puppy gets really warm really quick and we LOVE it. We did have to buy a different connector that is suggested in one of the attached videos as it made the unit easier to use but this is our new favorite "toy." It was so easy to set up and works like a charm with a really good shower spray!

This is an outstanding, high-quality water heater that exceeded all our expectations in both performance and value. My wife and I have made it a ritual to enjoy a hot outdoor shower every evening, overlooking our lush South Florida garden. Thanks to Camplux, this daily pleasure was incredibly easy and affordable to set up. The heater arrived within two days, as promised, and was packaged with great care. Installation was a breeze: we simply screwed on the included garden hose adapter, hung the unit in our shower, attached a standard garden hose, connected the supplied propane regulator, and hooked up the included shower head. (If you prefer a fancier shower head, it’s easy to swap out.) Two D-cell batteries power the ignition, and they last a long time. That’s it—within minutes, you’re enjoying a strong, hot shower. No electrician or plumber needed! The water pressure is excellent, and I’m confident it could handle a second shower head if needed. Compared to the cost and hassle of a traditional water heater, this is an incredible bargain. What truly sets Camplux apart is their customer service. After about six months, our unit stopped heating. I dreaded the typical Amazon post-purchase black hole, but to my surprise, Camplux was incredibly easy to reach—I simply Googled their support email and received a helpful reply the same day. After trying a few quick troubleshooting steps they suggested (which were easy), the problem persisted. Without hesitation, they sent us a replacement unit. We were back to enjoying our outdoor showers in no time! I can’t say enough good things about Camplux. Not only is their product top-notch, but their commitment to standing behind it is truly impressive. Highly recommended.

I have always been one to try and give credit where credit is due. I got off to a rocky start with the Camplux portable water heater, and still don't know why the unit failed. I guess I'll keep it for spare parts. However, Camplux support got involved and were responsive to my issues. Unable to solve my problem over the phone with tech support, they sent me a new heater. So far so good. When these heaters work, they work well. I hope to enjoy this one a little longer. I will add that one needs to be really careful when the temperatures start to dip down towards freezing. Per the owner's manual, I drained the heater as instructed by unscrewing the drain plug. It turns out that was not nearly enough. I got up to a shattered shower head and broken water line on the side of the heating element. Fortunately, I had another shower head and was able to solder the break without too much effort. Now that fall is here at 7,000', I not only drain the unit, but remove the water source, disconnect the hot water outlet to the shower head, and run the unit out of water till it is drawing air and no longer discharging water. And for good measure remove the shower head as I had a second one break even with the hot water hose disconnected and drained. As I said, so far so good. It's nice to have a functioning (and our only) shower again. So, Kudos to Camplux support staff for standing behind their product. I would give them four stars for their support and ultimately resolving the problem. Thanks. So, I purchased two of these units for a four-day outdoor wedding on our property in CO. I installed one in a shower I built, and the other in a makeshift kitchen. We were feeding (and washing dishes for) approximately 35 guests for the weekend. The unit I installed in the kitchen worked briefly then failed right in the middle of the party-No clicking sound, no hot water. To say this was a major inconvenience would be an understatement. The other one in the shower is now failing: the hot water hose that came with the unit for the shower head is about to explode in multiple places and the unit no longer produces hot water. It clicks, fires up, the water flows, but even on the maximum gas setting the water is warm at best. Yes, there is adequate propane to both units, they both new batteries, and adequate water pressure via RV water pumps. I am using the shower heads provided. I have been trying to work with the support folks at Camplux and though they seem willing to trouble shoot, I still have two of these heaters and neither one works properly. They were going to send me a new micro switch, but tracking says the switch hasn't even been shipped yet. The wedding was on August 26, 2023. I have been disappointed with these heaters and will be looking for an alternative as I still need two more for our winter residence south of the border. I would suggest doing your own research and looking into possible alternatives.

This is a great unit when it works. Unfortunately, we did not use it right away when we bought it. Within the first handful of uses it would ignite and then the flame would quickly go out. We have checked and double checked the water pressure, propane tank and all the other troubleshooting suggestions. After mixed results the unit now won’t even try to light. We have kept it safely covered and followed all directions . Because we didn’t use it right away we missed our return window. It’s sad. We really wanted to believe this product would work.
