I thought it was going to suck and not have enough water flow for a good shower but so far it's working great. Put in a semi-trailer turned tiny home. We aren't using a pump, just a garden hose. Runs on D volt batteries and is on demand...there is no on or off switch that I can find. It senses the water flow and heats up the water instantly.

UPDATE: The first one I received did not work at all. It had a faulty igniter. I contacted the seller via Amazon, and they immediately shipped a replacement. I have since used the replacement three separate times, and it works great!!! As long as that continues, I will be very happy, as I love the way this system works and packs down. So far their customer service to fix their problems has been great. I changed my review to 4 stars based on these factors. ORIGINAL: I purchased this before an off-grid camping trip. The directions are good and simple, but, just like other reviews, it did not work. I got the error code E3 and could not get the heater to ignite the propane. I am currently in the process of sending it back and getting a replacement. I will update you once I get it. Unfortunately, I did not have a hot water solution for my trip. They should fix their product to work every time.

When I first received the product I tested it and it worked, so I went on a road trip recently in the mountains, it was 34F and was looking to use this to wash our hands, brush teeth and etc, but it wouldn’t ignite, I change the propane tank to a full one, still nothing, I thought maybe it got dusty so used to blower to blow dust away and still nothing, very disappointed the product is not cheap, I am now looking at other options as I don’t know if I can trust this again, the pump and everything works just no heat and error.

Seems to heat just fine, but I had the heat cranked all the way up and the line burst shooting scalding hot water. Not very safe. Edit: seller refunded $30 Dollars for replacement. Bonus points for customer service. Edit: there was a recall for a leaking regulator. The company offered to supply a replacement line and regulator. As I began replacing the line, the housing where the gas line attaches snapped away from the unit. I don't think I can recommend this unit. This is the third problem with the heater and it has rendered it useless. It seems the company has an automated response. If you mention the recall, you're only sent a message with recall instructions and they have not responded to the actual issue. Edit: The seller responded and offered a full replacement. As unhappy as I was with original unit, it's replacement functions as it should. Though I was outside of the replacement window, they still decided to send me a new one. Not many sellers stand behind their products as well.

Had my water heater lil over a year. It started to smoke from the top and the flames were yellow from propane not burning correctly. Talked to tech support. Tried a few things. Did not clear the problem. They sent me another unit out with no issues. Works great.

I bought this to attach to a standalone outdoor shower for my yard. The instructions weren't as clear as I would have liked. Not that it's super complicated, but there were multiple sets of instructions and I felt it wasn't clearly indicated which one applied. Also there wasn't much specifically about how to connect to something other than the included spray handle. I feel that should be added as outdoor shower kits are becoming increasingly popular. However, I was able to figure it out. Since the thing is automatically triggered by the spray nozzle, I have a bit of an issue with the turning on sequence as it starts to tick as soon as I turn the water on the input. Instructions say it's not supposed to until the shower nozzle is triggered. So, I have to change the sequence order to make sure the flame lights up properly. Instead of input on, gas, output. I have to turn the gas on first, then input. But anyway, once set up, there was a learning curve for me to get the appropriate settings but now that I know what levels to turn the gas and water pressure, I have had some very hot showers! Last night I showered outside and had a great steamy shower. It was very easy to mount using the bracket already mounted on the back and a hook. The only issue - I don't think it's avoidable with these types of heaters - is that my water pressure coming out of the shower is now lower. The unit I use actually is powerful directly plugged into a hose. But even with the highest setting on water pressure, it's now about 1/2 as powerful. It's adequate though. Overall, I am very happy with it and I hope it'll last.

I really wanted to love this. It was exactly what I was looking for but the first unit would overheat with the temp knob all the way on low. We returned that unit and got a slightly better one. It was still super finicky about the temp. We knocked it over and broke it after one trip and I gave up on it because it was past the return window. After my initial review Camplux reached out to discuss the issues and they have reworked the temp control on the next round of units. Even though we were past the return window they shipped us a replacement product and we are back in business. Honestly, may be the best customer service experience we have had. They really did offer to do anything and everything they could to make it right, and they listened to our feedback on the issues we had. Definitely have brand loyalty from us now.
