I haven't yet had the chance to take this out for an actual overnight camping trip, but am leaving my initial thoughts and will update as necessary. There are lots of relatively inexpensize hammocks that have cropped up on Amazon, and it was a little dizzying but I settled on this one as an opening foray into a camping hammock to see if it's something I liked without breaking the bank. The price is great on this, $30 to get started with the integrated mosquito net, multi-loop tree straps, and solid carabiners is a great set. The tree loops in particular are quite good on this, there are at least 16 loops on the straps, so that after you hook the strap around the tree you can easily adjust the hanging position of the hammock by clipping the carabiner to one of the many available loops - higher or lower. The fabric is thin and strong, no complaints at ~180lbs anyway. The netting seems good, easy to zip, and also easy to sit on the opposite side to not deal with the netting - just be careful it isn't strung too low and rub on the ground and rip the netting. The ONLY negative is that the rope guy lines to support the mosquito netting are fairly short. They may work out in the wild, but depending on tree distance they might not. Super easy to fix with other lengths of rope sitting around - I'm actually going for one longer rope to form a loop around both trees and hold both sides of the netting. I'm also planning on using an extra tarp I have as a rain fly, rather than buying a dedicated one for $30, at least to start. Happy so far and looking forward to a nights sleep out in the wild! ... show more

Cool hammock. My kids love it. I bought it as an upgrade for myself, mine doesnt have the bug next but the kids took it over in no time. Edit: my kid is currently napping in the hammock. I'm never going to be able to use it... guess I'll have to get another.

Bought this as a new primary to my old hammock because of the built in bug net. This is pretty cool and comfortable to sleep in. I’ve used it quite a bit since I purchased it and the one draw back is where the net comes into the zipper, that’s a high use seam and has started to wear after a nearly a month of use.. carry a mini sewing kit for repairs on the trail and good to go. It’s also lightweight and compact so fits in the pack well ... show more

For a hammock this narrow and thin, I really wonder how it's still so large and heavy? Thought I ordered a double but must have been a single because it's very narrow. You can really feel a difference between a hammock like this and an ENO or better brand. It will serve its' purpose this trip but I would not buy again. For this price, this is five stars. I'd like to see ratcheting straps included but I'd expect to pay more for that. The material is just as nice as my ENO hammock. Stitching is quality and looks strong. The rope attachments are fine. As I mentioned, I'd prefer to have straps for the end connections. Nice 'biners are included. for the price, it really includes all the essential features, including a bug net and an inside pocket!!! . Also, the adjustable ropes are great! we have thick old trees in our backyard and It fits no problem around the large trunks.
