I purchased this backpack cooler to use for transporting drinks and food to the beach. I have used a shoulder strap cooler bag previously and found that it was uncomfortable to carry and often leaked. I am so happy that I switched to this cooler bag. The bag arrived "shrink wrapped" and at first glances appeared to be too small. However, I quickly discovered that I was mistaken. I was able to easily fit 8 slim can adult beverages, several water bottles, capri sun pouches and small sandwiches in the bag along with almost an entire 8lb bag of ice. The padded shoulder straps made carrying the bag easy, even when it was full. We first used it on the fourth of July and we were on the beach for about 5.5 hours in 90 degree weather. The ice did melt some, but I must say, the drinks/food stayed cool and the bag did not leak at all. The bag has side pockets to carry additional items and even has an attached bottle opener. I bought this to bring on soccer trips. I was so hopeful and it does keep our drinks and food nice and cold. The only problem is that it sweats. I have tried ice, ice packs, ice packs in ziploc bags and they all leak. Which then results in my behind becoming wet when I carry it. Wish it were more waterproof. Purchased this bag for a family Disney trip. It held lots of waters and gatorades and such. I had ice packs in the bag and some ice. The bag immediately was leaking. I stayed calm, as a family we took the ice out and tried to find a hole. There was no hole! I still gave it 4 stars because the drinks stayed cold.
