If you’re a beginner or a casual player, this kit is a pretty solid choice. I played drums in high school and wanted to get something compact and minimal to get back into it. Since there’s no provided amp I’d highly recommend it to those who live in an environment where it’s usually quiet as it has its own pair of headphones to use. I have my own amp, so I can project the volume of my kit with the same quality sound, where it's good for learning, practicing, or messing around without spending a ton. Pads and cymbals feel really good, it provides the same sounds as if it was a real drum kit. The quality of the poles were sturdy and the mesh on the drums felt responsive to my drumsticks. The sound module has a ton of options to play around with. I can adjust the tempo in its built in metronome, have preset songs, and you can even record what you play. This setup brought me back to my highschool days, highly recommended. My nephew recently joined his middle school band and plans to play percussion. I plan on buying another one for him to get some good practice in to improve.

This thing is awesome & my 5-year-old son loves it very much. I've even played it & found myself enjoying it too. I bought this opposed to regular drums because I live in a duplex - and it truly is perfectly quiet. You can obviously hear the sound of the sticks hitting the pads but BARELY. The headphones it comes with are good quality and it does have a place to plug in an amp if you wanted to. It came in one big box in pieces; the DIRECTIONS WERE NOT helpful. I also couldn't find much information online. What I finally noticed is that they do have tiny little labels on the back, but I didn't notice them until I was underneath the set - then I had to take everything apart and re-do it lol. It's important to note that I have never played drums in my life, so anyone with any background knowledge would have had a much easier time assembling. I expected this to be easier to fold, but you literally have to loosen most of the hardware with the drum key. So that's kind of time consuming & so I just leave it up. Also, the pre-recorded music it comes with is trash & very annoying to listen to over and over but there is an option to plug in an mp3. I feel like this is overpriced mostly because the music it came with, the difficultly I had setting it up/useless instructions, and the folding feature isn't really a feature it's just loosening the hardware. I rated it four stars because other than those things, I am glad I bought it - my son loves it, hopefully he'll have this a long time, and it will help foster his creativity.

The drum set was a major hit at Christmas. It is a totally complete set that includes everything you need to get started. It can be connected to a speaker/amp which is not included but the headphones are included. From the sticks to the pedals this set impressed us. The set is well made and ready to take on the banging of the sticks or the tapping of the pedals. The controller has many adjustments to the sound and even included some songs to drum out to. It was fairly easy to put together and the size isn't overwhelming and can be folded to store it. The stool was also included and was able to hold up kids and adults. The drum set sounds amazing though the headphones and sounded just like a real drum set to me. I would highly recommend and give this a big thumbs up! Love it!

Not good save your money and buy a different better set . The one we received had to have an amplifier to use the headset and you can’t even play the same drum piece at the same time. When it says beginner it means beginners that isn’t any good at all.

My 10 year old and 6 year old boys said it’s a 5 out of 5! They love it and so do I. It took about 30 minutes to set up, works great right out of the box. Perfect set for anyone with kids! It comes with headphones to connect so it’s perfect and not loud for anyone but the person playing. I would buy again.

It is a good kit, however the noise presets are not the greatest. Another problem I ran into was the snare keeps moving whenever you hit it too hard with it being tightened all the way. Otherwise, it is a great starter kit that doesn’t produce a lot to noise.
