First I heard of this brand, was just "shopping around" and saw it, price seemed right, so I gave it a shot. Got 2 5lb bags of whole beans, 1 bag seems vacuum-packed, and 1 bag seems "loose". Opened the loose one first, and that's the one I'm using right now. Fairly tame coffee, nice flavor, nothing objectionable at all. Gotta say, these are the *prettiest* beans I've ever gotten. Nice deep dark brown, smooth, shiny, like what you'd see on a coffee commercial. At long as the price holds, I think I'll be getting some more. I am not a coffee expert. I just know the difference between what tastes like good coffee and what tastes like hot water. I got really tired of the store brand coffee that has no aroma and no taste, heard I should grind my own instead, but price held me back. Saw the Scandanavian blend here, thought I would give it a go since the reviews were good and the price was right. And now I am using HALF the amount of ground product as I was before, and getting that full coffee flavor (and aroma) I was missing. And it seems like it will take a LONG time to get to the bottom of this bag. I am in love with this coffee. But, just to make sure you know, I am not an expert. Just an average American struggling to get by. At least I can have a couple decent cups of coffee in the morning now. ... show more

Always on the lookout for the best value for arabica whole beans, I found this large bag is an amazing buy. Plus it's organic. Not the best I have had, but definitely the best I have had for the money lately, and perfect for the large pot of drip coffee I make every morning for the family and me.

Is fresh and nice for everyday use. nice flavor for the $$$$. I use less water for a stronger flavor. I like San Fran Bay Fog Chaser but I only treat myself to that when I find it on sale.

"Good", what I'll call medium flavor. Mine was not extreme to either side, not watery, not bitter, nice "coffee" flavor. Reasonable, "use by" date. Packed and shipped appropriately for a change. Okay value, price per pound. To qualify my comments context of "me": - I've been fresh grinding (grinding, not blade-ing) my coffee beans per cup for more than a decade; then to a stainless steel french press. I don't care for extreme's, but don't mind a good flavored "strong" cup of coffee, no acid, no bitterness; if has other elements naturally ("fruity-ness", "hints of...") wonderful - but *not a "cork-sniffer" either (I'll drink instant in a pinch). ... show more

I'd ordered the Scandinavian and Pacific Rim blends from Cameron's previously and really liked them. I was a little nervous to try the Woods and Water but I REALLY, really like it, thinking it may be my new go to. What made me a bit nervous was the reviews I'd seen about it being "weak," etc. I can see how- if you are used to darker roasts- a light roast would obviously taste a bit different but it is definitely not weak. It is not bitter in any way, very tasty. I still have some of their Pacific Rim with me here at work but will be having a cup of the Woods and Water as soon as I get home. ... show more
