I wanted outdoor cameras that were battery powered, solar charging, allowed saving video to an SD card, and that did not require a subscription or in home listening device like Alexa. These cameras checked all the boxes, had a lot of good reviews and were on sale for a very good price. Other nice features are being able to listen and talk through the cameras, and the security light that can be turned on/off or set to auto for color video at night. Setup & installation was easy. The initial pairing of each camera with my wifi and phone was the only finicky thing. It worked best to be in the same room as the router. But it did take several attempts to get each camera to pair. There were two methods - the easiest one has a QR code on your phone display and then the camera tries to scan the code. I could not get the camera to scan it. The other method worked after a few tries. But once the cameras are paired, you don’t have to do it again. I installed the cameras outdoors and have had no connection issues with my wifi. After about 4 weeks of use, the cameras have worked flawlessly. I was concerned about the solar charging because it’s Dec/Jan in Ohio. We have had little sun with most days being cloudy, rainy or snowing. And I have my motion detection set to maximum distance, maximum sensitivity, and recording length also set to max. These are not the setting to use for best battery life, but despite all of this, the cameras have all remained at 100% charge! Each camera gets triggered a few times a day but it is not heavy use. As for video quality, I have not had any other cameras to compare, but the footage is clear and quite good IMO. Some have mentioned the lenses fogging up, but I have not had this issue. I’ll have to see how they do in the humid and hot summer. There are two things I think others might consider depending on their situation: First, the cameras have a field of view of 100 degrees. If you are mounting these in a tight space, that might not be a wide enough view for some people. Second, if you can not mount these in the open where the sun can hit the panel on top of the camera, you might want a different model with a separate solar panel that can be mounted in an open location. Overall I am very happy with the cameras and they are perfect for my needs.

I cannot express just how much I love these cameras! I've used several camera's around my house before and one of the biggest hassels is always trying to figure out where I can put them and still be able to plug them in so they will work. The struggle has definitely been real HA! With these, I was able to completly elimate that issue! I wasn't sure how well the solar panels would work at first, but I am highly pleased with the results!! I haven't had a single issue with them staying charged at all. Granted, they do also run on batteries, but the built in solar panel keeps them charged and has greatly extended the life of the batteries. Even better, you don't have to worry about the power going out and losing your power source. The camera will continue to record. They can even hookup to my wifi without issue and the picture quality is GREAT!! And for a set of four solar powered cameras, the price couldn't be better. The camera itself is very well made and heavy duty, and the app is easy to pull up and use on your phone from anywhere. Another added bonus that you don't see in most other camera's is the color night vision! Typically night vision on a camera is all black and white. Not with these though! I love the picture quality and that you can see in color even when it's dark!! It supports both SD and cloud recording and will auto detect when there is any movement or sound. If you're wondering how it holds up in the weather, we recently had multiple tornados come through and the cameras were even able to withstand the severe rain and winds! Overall, this is a great product and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a solar powered camera system.

Who would have thought that I would LOVE these cameras... First of all... these cameras are not EXPENSIVE... so automatically I was skeptical on the quality... Since I was not convinced this is the product for me.. I took one camera from the bunch and connected one to my wifi and placed on my back patio, in the sun, facing my back door... I will say, I do have great wifi coverage right outside of my home... (this plans a big deal on connectivity reliability).. I was able to get and keep a wifi connectoin on my back patio.. The quaility of the image is AWESOME... and the powering via solar makes it even more reliable... While it still run a battery, there is enough solar charging to keep the camera going.... I have been able to keep a eye on my back doggie door during the day AND night (with nighttime color, I can tell WHICH cat is entering /exiting (have 2 cats that look alike in Black and White, but very obvious when in color)..... (making sure only my dogs/cats use the door, and not a stray or "other" animal... So great charging and stays going via solar... this is a no brainer.. worth the buy! Cameras for home security? YES!! Cameras for home security on a budget? YES! You will not regret the purchase!!
