Is this worth the price? Yes. It’s durable, and I do like the ability to thread on and off by the wheel instead of needing to access the bottom. However, the reason I had to return mine is that it was actually TOO heavy duty. When I opened it, I was surprised how much weight there was to it. It’s mostly metal and if you threw it, it would definitely hurt someone. And unfortunately, I needed this for a specific lens on my gimbal that I need a follow focus for. That lens is quite weighty, and that plus the camera plus this all-metal riser just made it impossible to properly balance my Weebill S. If you have light lenses or aren’t near your gimbals weight capacity, this product is worth it. Didn’t work for my needs. ... show more

    • 1/4"-20 stud too long!

The riser is the perfect height and size for the application. However, the 1/4"-20 screw is too long and leaves a significant gap between the camera and the plate when screwed all the way in and bottoms out in the camera's 1/4"-20 attachment receiver threads. This needs to be addressed and fixed. This is a serious manufacturing or design error. I've tried it on all of my 4 cameras, same issue. I have 2 Canon mirrorless cameras and 2 Sony A7 line cameras. I didn't have time for a return so I shimmed it with some flat washers for now. ... show more

    • Super value and tremendous product design.
A very nice and well made riser plate, and constructed of metal-like properties, rather than what almost looks like plastic in thosr photos. Ideal for mounting to skid plates with an added quick release of some kind for more solid contact to your equipment. I got more than I was expecting if this product, and very thankful for it, too. It's perfect for my applications, which now I can get to work thanks to finding this item. ... show more
