Great camera clip! The base plate works in all the standard arcs-swiss QR tripod plates ive tried. It is cross compatible with other brand camera clips ive tried which is awesome. I now have QR mounts on every tripod, monopod, slider, and gimbal, plus the QR plates on every camera as well as on all my small LED lights. This allows me to quickly mount every thing on anything in mere seconds. I LOVE IT. Perfect for weddings, wildlife, live event work etc. This particular camera clip works best on medium - small camera bag straps. It doesn't work great on backpacking rucksacks and other bags with super thick straps.

The VELCURIUM Camera Clip with Quick Release Plate is a relatively lightweight camera clip that can be attached to a backpack strap, a belt, etc. I am using the clip with my LowePro backpack and mirrorless camera. The clip can handle backpack strap widths under 2.95 inches, and it was a close fit on my backpack strap, but it went on fine. The clip is made from aluminum and installed securely on my backpack strap. I’ve had no trouble either clipping in or clipping out my camera using this clip and QR plate. The quick release (QR) plate is a standard size, and I had no trouble using it with my tripod QR baseplates from other manufacturers. I was also able to use a different QR plate installed on my camera with VELCURIUM clip. I prefer QR plates that have a D-ring on the bolt that attaches the QR to a camera because no separate tool or device is needed to securely attach the QR plate to the camera. A minor downside to this clip is that the bolt in the QR plate requires a coin or flat screwdriver to attach the plate securely to your camera. This is a very nice clip that comes in at about half the price of similar name-brand clips, so it provides excellent value for money spent. I am rating it 4 stars rather than 5 due to the lack of the D-ring on the QR plate bolt.

OK, when this first came in, I was skeptical. Its lightweight, feels like good quality but I have never used one this small and was fearful of it not being able to hold the weight of my camera. Now, I am sooo sooo happy I went with this!! The value for money is great. I've seen some pretty expensive ones out there and this one does amazing!! It fits right on to my camera backpack or hiking backpacks easily. I really like that it's small and discreet so I just leave it on my bag. Im really really happy I got this. It basically lives on my hiking backpack.

It's made well and looks nice. But it's a little awkward to use compared to others I've tried It's easy to remove once you get the hang of it. The mount doesn't provide enough space for padded shoulder straps. Might also want to add a safety tether. Not sure I will use this unless it's with my street photography bag.

So far it clicks in even smoother than my Peak Design Capture V2. That's a big plus, since I've come close to dropping the camera when the Capture would bind up while trying to put it in. One handed release is better than the Ulanzi knockoff, which moved the button to the center and made it low profile, thus harder to hit with the same hand firmly grabbing the camera. I think this one is likely to be my top choice for both general day to day use on a belt and backpacking use on a pack strap.

Seems to be based on a PD version of a quick release plate. It was easy to install and there is rubber on one side of the plate that really helps with slipping. It's thumb screw tension based so can be annoying to tighten since theres nothing you can really use like a screw driver or a hex to tighten it more. If you suffer from arthritis or other conditions that can make it hurt to use your hands, this can be pretty annoying or painful to deal with. The only thing holding the two lock points in is the screw, so I feel it might loosen over time. It hasn't been a problem yet, but it is something being watched out for. I was able to put a Canon R6m2 with a 70-200 F4 comfortably on it. I wouldn't suggest heavier, but for a general small to medium size camera I think it works wonderfully.
