I chose to buy this jacket because I'm on a very limited budget. I bought this when it had a discounted price of $39. To me, it has ticks on all my fundamental expectations: 1. It has a very large size. I am typically 2XL on outerwear and this 2XL felt more than that and that's great because I expect a lot of layering underneath it. 2. Insulated and Waterproof. This coat does provide insulation! In a cold, wet, and rainy night I only wore a jeans and tshirt with no other layers. This coat on top kept me warm and dry! And this jacket is just above my knees, which I wanted. 3. No puffy look design. This jacket is pure black with little branding or unnecessary cuts. It has lots of functional pockets. Zipper is two-way which is very useful for long coats like this. The hood is detachable via a zipper. However, I think they could have improved this by simply making a roll and hide hood instead of detachable. I am happy with this product and would buy again if I need to.

Really like the quality of this jacket. Size looks correct and outer shell material is very nice. Seems like it will be warm. as it is a Christmas present for my son not sure yet but it looks like a winner!!

I absolutely love this jacket. It is roomy and yet holds the warmth very effectively. I can spend long periods of time outdoors in it without becoming cold. The hood is equally warm! The only drawback is that the inside of the zipper cloth flap keeps getting caught in the zipper when zipping. Many jammed zippers to deal with. But other than that, this is a great jacket!

This warm parka is a basic, no nonsense design with huge zippered pockets that can keep your hat and gloves (2 pairs!) safe with room to spare. It's wind-proof, snow-shedding fabric, and large sizing makes it perfect for layering. I was toasty warm in -13 F weather with a flannel shirt and light fleece underneath layered underneath.

It's a good windbreaker, pretty warm with a layer underneath, deep pockets, sheds water. The problem is the zipper is flimsy, thin junk. It constantly jams or doesn't zip at all. It's amazing it hasn't completely broken just from my efforts to get it unstuck. Even being as careful as I can to start it right, it constantly binds. For this reason I can't recommend it. Too bad because it was a good value otherwise. It's a bit big on me, but that was intentional to fit underlayers. True to size.
