  • Works great for dirt bike riding
Color: Black
Bought this for when I go off riding dirtbikes. I'm 6'2" and weigh 225 pounds, add in a chest protector and I've essentially become wider than most backpack hydration pack straps extend. The camelbak waist pack worked perfectly and only sacrificed about half a liter from the backpacks I'd like to wear. It also serves a function almost like a kidney belt. I was able to pack away a full bladder, several granola bars, and a couple small tools in my pack. It's easy to fill, assemble, empty, and clean. The hose is plenty long to reach from my waist and the on/off valve functions flawlessly. The one time the hose has disconnected from the bladder produced zero leakage. I'd buy this again if I had to. ... show more

  • It holds a decent amount of water
Color: Fired Brick/White
A hip pack with a water straw is a great idea. For shorter rides the water reservoir is adequate and much nicer than having bottles attached to a pack. I would prefer more storage room for tools as the compartment is not very large when the water is full. The pack fits tight and does not slip down or bounce around. The straps hold it tight and are easy to adjust. For shorter rides it is a great alternative to larger shoulder packs. ... show more

  • Great hip pack for shorter rides.
Color: Camelflage
I bought this pack specifically for those shorter MTB rides so that I could have water without the hot backpack. It's perfect (I would need more water for a ride over 2 hours). The hose clip with combo of mechanical fastener and magnet is secure. After 3 or 4 tries on my first ride it was easy to snap right back in place once I got the feel for it. I wear it over my untucked shirt which is comfortable on my waist. The hose is plenty long enough to drink comfortably wile riding (I'm 6'7"). Just enough room for little extras like a few bars, gels, wallet, multitool, CO2 and a wind vest. I've even used it on shorter hikes - more comfortable than carrying a water bottle. ... show more

  • Convenient
Color: Black
I recently had surgery to repair the rotator cuff on my right shoulder but wanted to be able to continue hiking without the straps of a regular camelback backpack pulling on my shoulder so I ordered this item. I like the size of the bladder. I can still carry close to 60 ozs of water but that’s about the extent of it. I usually carry my car keys, ID, wipes, snacks, sunscreen, a towel, hand sanitizer (necessities) in my regular pack. I can only get sunscreen in this one comfortably. I do like having my hands free and having the weight of that much water around my waist rather than my back. ... show more

  • Useful and very handy, better than a middle of back camelback
Color: Black
I have had the original narrow camelback bag for decades. In hot climates and while doing my photography for hours in the sun, I'll wear that older model but hated that after a while, my back would be sweating a LOT due to it being on my back in the sun. NOW with this, I thought my sweating-problem would be over, but this modern version has its own issues. I've used it on bike rides on my folding eBike rides and long walks, BUT while it is convenient for ppl on the move, the problem is that as water empties out, the bag begins to empty, and now the bag can drop right off your waist no matter how tight it's adjusted! The belt, tho adjustable, is not a quick nor easy operation. I am slender and have a 30" waist, and since I have had this, have adjusted the belt twice, which creates issues of its own. As stated, not quick easy to adjust the belt. So when filled completely, belt needs to be readjusted. As drinking starts to empty the bladder, the bag begins to slide down your waist/hip, needing to be adjusted again, requiring removal and adjusting the belt! Thinking of perhaps getting a clamp to hold the belt doubled to resolve the problem, but no matter how/what, it still will require removal and mass adjustment. Not happy and if I had known abt this beforehand, I would NOT have purchased this bag. Still a good idea tho.... UPDATE: I have since discovered there are two straps on either side of the buckle, located just before the straps disappears into the padded pockets (or whatever you wanna call it). Those two end straps, on the outside of the belt, can be used to PULL toward the center to take up the slack as when the bag is emptying and now the bag is sitting lower on your back, or in my very slender frame, falling down to my shoes! I have cut these to remove the slack, plus burned the ends so they don't fray, PLUS applied white tape to those ends of either side so I can SEE them better, and know when to pull. ... show more

This is so much more comfortable than the backpacks and has plenty of storage and padding. I’m loving it.
