I bought a Camelbak Rogue 2.0 L hydration pack back in 2016 for my motorcycle trip from Orlando to Sturgis via the Grand Canyon, Moab, and Yellowstone. The unit worked great and a hydration backpack is really nice when you ride with a full coverage helmet. The main complaint I had was that the mouthpiece valve was a 90 degree angle and made getting it up into my mouth with the helmet on difficult. Well 4 years later I decided to see if there was a better mouthpiece and this item looked like it would fit the bill. This valve is advertised as fitting the Crux Reservoir and I have the Rogue old style reservoir. I read somewhere that this valve would only fit the Crux. Well I bought it any way and was able to make it work. The hose nipple is larger but there is enough stretch in the old hose to accommodate the larger size. The mouthpiece is the same. Anyway I'm happy with the result and though I haven't tried it yet with the helmet on the bike I'm sure it will be much easier to use. ... show more

Ordered this and it doesn’t even come with a new mouth Piece. Ridiculous and not as pictured. Also this broke on my daughter’s camel bak the second use

    • Delivered in the wrong packaging...
The valve is basic and works as intended. The valve was delivered in the wrong packaging. It was in the packaging for a Camelbak bite valve cover. This included instructions for the bite valve. This makes me suspicious that I did not receive a new product.

    • Good replacement
I needed a new bite value for an older cambelbak because mine was leaking. This has a different locking mechanism than my older version which is much better designed for use with gloves or when your hands are cold. It was easy to install and fit my drink tube.

The product picture shows the rubber "bite valve" is included. It is not. This only item is ONLY the on/off valve shown below the bite valve. The bite valve must be ordered separately.

    • Just the on-off switch
I knew what I was getting with this item. It did not come with a tube or the bite valve. Given that, it was exactly as I expected and install was easy. I simply pulled out the old on-off switch from the tube, removed the bite valve, and replaced the broken switch with this one. I paid ~$10 for the switch, which seems a bit pricey to me (I feel that $5-$6 is a fairer price point for what it is) but am satisfied with the replacement overall. ... show more
