This new ski jacket is to keep me warm through our cold winters in WA state, and, so far, it is doing the job! The fit is great, I ordered a Large; it is so roomy and comfy and fits over any sweater or sweatshirt I wear underneath. And believe me, layering is a must for our cold winters. It never used to get down into the teens and 20's, but, with all the changes in our weather, every year it gets colder! It is also long enough to cover your bum and the top of your thighs. So this coat is a winner, with its soft fabric lining, waterproof outer layer, and many pockets, I love this jacket! It also comes with a hood that is adjustable and detachable. I must have looked at every waterproof ski jacket on Amazon! I finally decided to purchase this one in a Large, light grey. (I'm 5'2" 152 lbs.) It fit perfectly, and I was able to wear a light sweater underneath it. I wore it to the German Christmas markets, and it definitely kept me warm. If you might wear a sweatshirt or heavier top, I might suggest going up a size. For the price I might just purchase another one! ... show more

I've always been frustrated buying a winter coat. I don't THINK I'm built weird....but they normally fit from the waist down, tight across the girls....OR.....if it DOES zip...flattens them quite nicely. But I needed a coat....I'm older older now, and walk a dog in Wisconsin - I'm blown away with this coat. I normally will wear a 1x or 2x...you women know....depends on how everything is made. To be cautious I ordered the 3 X....and OMG. It fits PERFECTLY. With room to spare. With room to wear an actual sweater. It did take a tad longer to receive than normal - but it did arrive the day before the temps in Wisconsin dropped to minus 20's and WIND. The coat is lined in whatever "faux fur" - it's so soft and sooooo warm. The hood is also lined in that. I seem to be babbling....lol....Bottom line. Buy this coat. ... show more

This jacket wasn’t a click and go purchase, I went through many scouring the specifications on each to find one that would work for sub-zero temperatures and this one definitely delivered. I haven’t noticed any pilling, seam ripping or any of the other issues other reviews highlighted and even in -50 weather I was near sweating while wearing it. The fit seems true to size, and it’s a very sleek design that doesn’t look poofy which was one of my more vain requests from a jacket. It’s water resistant so it’s nice to wear while it’s actively snowing and I hope I’ll have it for years to come. ... show more
