1080P FHD Camera One of the main reasons that I bought this camera is the tilting display screen. I normally carry my phone and take videos and photos from my phone. However, if I am behind people or another barrier, when I raise your phone to take a picture, I can no longer see the screen. I struggle with this often when taking photos/videos of people at parties, children that are on the floor, items that are on the top shelf of my office, items low on the ground, etc. Being able to tilt the display screen lets me accurately frame the photo and capture the details. With my phone, I often took 5 or more photos hopoing that one would actually have the subject in it. With this camera, I can see exactly what the photo will look like. My first use of the camera was to take a video and photo inventory of my office and storage closet. First Look - Opening the box, the camera had everything needed to start using it. It is lightweight and fits nicely into my hand. I did connect it to my USB charging block to make sure it was fully charged before starting to use it. While it was charging, I took a few minutes to glance at the user manual. It is not detailed, but gives a nice overview of the features that are available. Usability - Once it was charged, I tried it out. The controls are nicely laid out. The zoom toggle is at the top of the camera and is where your index finger holds the camera. It is very easy to zoom in/out on what you are photographing. When in video mode, the record button is on the back by your thumb so that you can easily start/stop the video recording. It is a very natural position for using. When in photo mode, the trigger is on top of the camera right near the zoom lever and easily used. Picture Quality - In video mode, it does a nice job transitioning from very bright areas to dark areas. The color capture of the videos and pictures in “normal” mode is very good. I was a little concerned that being a fixed focus camera, that any photos and videos taken close to the camera would be blurry. I have found that distant photos are always in focus and near photos are still in focus even when they are only about 10 to 12 inches from the camera lens. I found this very impressive for a fixed focus camera. It is nice not having to focus. While experimenting with the near focus, I took a close up of my computer keyboard and found something else. My keyboard is really dusty and needs a good cleaning. The picture was very clear. Video Quality - I was doing a video walk through my office and found that I needed to slow down when transitioning from one subject to the next. If panning too quickly, there is a bit of blur that can happen. I have not seen it when taking videos of animals and birds outside, or even people when inside. I only saw it when in tight quarters. This was easily solved by not moving the camera so quickly. Screen Display - I had overlooked it in the user manual, but there is an icon in the upper left of the display screen that shows whether the camera is in video mode, photo mode, or playback mode. That instruction is in the manual, but I didn’t read it as carefully as I should have. Once that icon was located, I found recording much easier. Low Light Performance - I was surprised by the image quality improvement when using the built in fill light. It does a nice job of helping with subtle details when taking photos or videos in low light. What was really surprising is its ability to enable photos and video in near dark environments. I turned off the light in the storage closet that I was inventorying and was very surprised that I could still identify boxes and books. It is not as clear as when the lights are on, but it surprised me. The backlight setting really helps. With very bright sunny windows behind the subject, facial details were very nice. As expected, the windows were somewhat overexposed, but the subjects that were the object of the pictures were very clear. Other Notes - I am using the camera to catalogue items in my office and file area. The data/time stamp is very useful for record keeping purposes. The date/time stamp is easily turned off if you do not need it. The pause feature with videos is nice. If taking a sequence of videos that will result in a complete “story”, rather than stopping each video, then stitching them together using a video editor, you can pause the recording, move to another location or set up, then resume the recording. This reduces the amount of time using a video editor. The video is 1080p rather than 4k, but for the purposes of making videos for computer or phone playback it is very nice. Crips details, good color. The display screen has a gauge to show you the amount of digital zoom that you are using. The color band goes from red, to yellow to no color in the meter. When zooming in the no color and yellow band, the resulting picture has no or very little noticeable pixilation. When getting into the red zone, the pixilation is more evident. If the subject that you are zooming to see is small, the pixilation becomes more evident. The pixilation can easily be removed using image editing tools I like that the power meter is very prominent in the display screen. It lets you monitor the battery level when having an extended video session so that you do not run out of power during an important moment. When recording videos, the audio volume level can be a little low. I found that when I was speaking the audio level was acceptable and clear, however when a person that I am videoing is speaking, they can be hard to hear/understand, especially if in a large room or outdoors. Fortunately, the camera has a connection for an external microphone. I am quite pleased with the quality of this camera. It is an EXCELLENT value for the money paid. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

I am so glad that I got this Full HD 1080P camcorder, and it’s been perfect for my beginner vlogging needs. The 48MP photos are surprisingly clear, and the 18X digital zoom captures details well. I love the 270° rotating screen for selfies and creative angles, and the LED fill light helps a lot in low-light settings. The included 32GB card and decent battery mean I can start recording right away, and the pause function is a nice touch. It even works as a webcam for calls. Great value, easy to use, and ideal for hobby vloggers!

Had a huge issue trying to connect this camera to my laptop to export the videos (which was the entire purpose for which I bought the camera). After two hours of trouble shooting, the issue ended up being the USB cable the camera comes with; I didn't check this initially because why would the brand new cable be an issue right? Well it was. Super annoying. The camera itself is good for the price but this issue straight out of the box has been what really formed my opinion of this product.

The media could not be loaded. This kit has everything you need to take great pictures and videos. It is compact, so it is easy to carry and the quality of the pictures and videos are great. I appreciate that it includes two batteries and the SD card, so I am not worried about not having enough battery life for any of my adventures. I purchased this one because it includes night vision and it works great. I can take pictures in a completely dark basement with no lights or windows. The menu system is easy to use and the flip-out screen is a touchscreen, which is very responsive. You can switch between taking pictures and videos with the touch of a thumb/finger. The attached pictures and video were taken from the Rumsey Monument in Shepherdstown, WV. This is a great camcorder.
