  • Pretty decent video camera, a bit challenging to use but decent quality
The media could not be loaded. This is a pretty good camera with plenty of accessories to work with to give you that good quality video recording. The first thing I will start with is the carrying case. The carrying case is pretty nice. It has a pretty sturdy outside shell so if you happen to drop it, it will protect the contents inside. When I opened it, the camera and parts are covered by an extra flap so that the loose pieces do not scratch any of the camera parts. The flap is held down by three velcro straps on each side and this also prevents the camera and accessories from moving around. There are cut outs to keep the camera and accessories nice and snug. The only down side is that the loose parts kind of slide around. I chose to keep them in the plastic bags that were provided but they can keep the bag from closing unless you put it a certain way. Do not force the bag close as you may put pressure on other camera parts. The bag does come with a handle to make it easy to carry and the zipper is very sturdy so you do not have to worry about it snapping and everything falling out. The big pouch on the left is nice and plenty of space but again all the pieces moving around and clumping up make it a bit hard to close to bag sometimes. For the small accessories, you get plenty of different accessories. The first thing I will note is that this did come with a memory card which was weird because the description said it did not come with one. It came with a 64 GB Kingston SD card. I did do a verification on the memory and it is truly 64 GB (Class 10). There also was a card reader provided. This is a just a simple card reader that can read SD card and I want to say memory stick pro just based on the look. I do not have a memory stick pro to try that out. It does not have a micro SD card reader unfortunately. The card reader is just a simple USB 2.0 so I would recommend upgrading to get faster transfer speed off the card. It does come with micro USB cables to charge the attachments. There is also an adapter that you will need to connect the microphone. I was a bit confused to figure out where to plug in the microphone but you will need to plug in the 3.5 to mini USB adapter that is provided. You attach it to the back near the mini HDMI port. Speaking of this, it does come with relatively long HDMI to mini HDMI cable so you can plug this directly into your television for viewing. Please note that you device will still need a power source when plugged into the HDMI for viewing. There is also a smaller carrying case for your camera that you can use if you do not want to lug around the big carrying case. It will fit with the bigger lens attachment (we will talk about that later). On the camera, this came with a bunch of accessories and I would definitely recommend referring to the site pictures and manual when using this. Speaking of manuals, this actually comes with THREE different manuals. There is one for the camera, one of the LED light, and one of the microphone. It was fairly easy to figure out how to attach the different accessories. Each accessory does run on its down battery so be aware of that when you are using this. You will need to charge them separately as you cannot connect the camera to these accessories for power and it puts a pretty big strain on your battery. Speaking of batteries, you do get TWO batteries and a charger to charge the battery. You can charge them through the camera but I prefer to use this as it charges faster. The batteries both cam about 50 percent charged. There are indicator lights on the charger to show if it is plugged in and fully charged. It is a bit big but does not take up more than one wall outlet (but it may take up more than one on a surge protector). The batteries can take up to three hours to full charge. There are two big accessories that require its own battery and they are the LED lights and the microphone. They both have their own internal battery. The LED light drains the most due to having a bunch of LED lights and the microphone will use the least as it does not require too much power. The battery on the LED lights was charged at 90% and the microphone I am unsure. The microphone has a light indicator to show that it is on but I have not seen if it changed color if the battery is low. Both use a micro USB cable in order to charge. The LED light can be pretty bright but do not expect it to be "studio lightning". Even at max, it is not blinding which is good. It gives you a pretty good lit front area to record. You can adjust the angle to direct the light how you want. The light has a knob to adjust the brightness and the default is pretty low. There is an LED screen to show you the level of brightness and the battery level (in percentage). It last for about three hours on the first charge. I am unsure how it will last after a few battery calibrations. It took about three hours to full charge again. The light is pretty strong, not blinding, and can illuminate up to I would say six to ten feet well. After that it is not as strong. The microphone is nice (it is not actually required to record sound). It allows you to get a clearer voice, remove excess noise, and get rid of the wind noise as it comes with a good wind filter. The microphone has different settings on top in order to determine how sensitive you want the microphone to be. It only has two settings but they work well. I am able to block out unnecessary noise for better video sound quality. There are several attachments you can use when putting these accessories on. By default, each one has those slide in and screw lock to attach one accessory at a time. If you want to put both on at the same time, there is an attachment to do that. You should use this attachment as putting them on top of each other is no sturdy at all. The attachments are all made of metal (with the exception of the securing wheel) and pretty strong so you do not have to worry about it breaking. There is also an extra attachment for the LED light to help secure it so it does not move very much. On to the camera, the camera works pretty well although I will say hearing it say 4k and then 1080p makes me a bit confused. Is it recording at 4k or 1080p based on the description? I will say it does record at least 1080p. The video quality is really good even without the extra accessories. Just the device by itself works great. The controls are pretty easy to use. Be aware that the default when turning this on is "Setting". When booting up, it makes the sound of my android messenger alert (confused me). The camera is pretty well packaged and plenty of plastic. There battery is installed in the back and SD card is installed at the bottom once you open the screen. This camera does not have any viewing hole so you will rely solely on the screen when recording to see what you are looking at. The zoom function is pretty good. You get a pretty decent close up without losing imagining. There is a strap like all cameras but I am not too much of a fan of this. I feel it is a bit too tight and if I loosen it it just feel too loose and causes the camera to droop down unless I am gripping it really hard so that is the down side. The screen is a touch screen and it is not glass so be careful not to scratch it. The screen can also be faced forward so you can record yourself or show others what you have recorded easier. There are a bunch of different buttons that I am unsure of what they all do. You have picture mode which is not bad and video mode. Depending on the quality you are putting it at, you can get several hours of video. For picture, you can take several digital shots. It is better to use photo mode to get picture but you can take photos while in video mode as well. There is another lens you can attach on top of the default one. I would highly recommend using that lens because it makes the video quality so much better. Again the camera with the lens do fit in the smaller bag but the extra accessories will not. The lens a simple twist screw on. Make sure not to touch the lens as smudges and smears do show up on the video. It does come with a micro fiber cloth so you can clean it when needed. There are also accessories to assist with keeping light out of the lens when recording. It does have a mini HDMI port on it so you can connect this to your TV. You can also use this as your webcam if you wanted to connect it to your computer but I have yet to try that. The camera is pretty well made but the glossy finish makes it so that your finger oils just get all over it. Retrieving video is pretty simple and straight forward. The camera just puts them in two different folders depending on if you took pictures of videos. Overall this is a pretty good video camera to have. It is on the pricey side, but you get a bunch of things to make your video experience pretty good. It will work with most modern day tripods if you want to get that but it is not included with this unit (bummer). The accessories are all very well made and work well with the camera. The video quality is pretty good although the description was a bit confusing to me. Regardless I am pretty happy with the video quality. The carrying case makes it very protective and easy to carry everything around. The only thing I would say is the front pouch should have a bit more compartments to keep stuff from sliding around and easier to close the case. Also follow the instructions when setting it up and learning about the camera. The instructions are straight forward and easy to understand. The only thing I will say is that it does run on older plugs like the mini USB port for the microphone and the micro usb cable. I do thing the camera should be a bit more modern, but other than that this is a good investment if you are planning to do a bunch of high quality video recording. ... show more

  • A bit pricey but good buy
I am very satisfied with how fast it came as well with all the accessories. I’m little disappointed with resolution. I played back on my TV and the resolution wasn’t what I expected it to be in UHD. Other then this. 7/10 satisfied. I think a good price would have been $200.

  • Did not like the product
this camera was no good. it made the videos look smaller than they were, the video quality was not 4k. the videos were not as detailed as i expected and they were also very dark, even in a well lit room. the batteries did not hold a charge. i would have to cjarge the bateries for over 9 hours to get a full charge and they were nearly dead after 1hr of recording. ... show more

  • Nice Shots! Night vision too!
Back in the old days, when taking low illumination shots, one had to manually "figure out" the shutter speed, lens exposure setting and focus. Nowadays, it's just more or less "point and click". This little machine does it well, even in low light situations. Very glad I made the purchase. Additionally, it "feels" like a professional video machine in that it has a "solid" feel to it (unlike some others that feel cheap and like they're falling apart). The buttons are well placed too. I like the swivel on the view finder - makes it easy to take upward facing shots such as when panning a building or getting a skater shot. (No more kneeling or laying on the asphalt or wet grass!) I'd recommend this dude, no problem, for a good light to mid-weight video logger, take-along fun seeker, real estate professional home walk-through video taker, and/or home-studio producer and/or more! I mean to say, really, the bottom line is that it's a decent machine at a decent price and fulfills many of my video tasks very decently! ... show more

  • You want this for paranormal? Save and get better! PLEASE READ
If I had known the quality, Id picked something different. Paranormal investigator tool? No. The boom mic I never use because it sounds underwater and horrid. Make sure you have a tripod or mobile stick because your hand will cover the mic and lose all audio. The IR is a joke. I bought an extra IR illuminator and carry it around (photo shown), otherwise, it's just dark after 2ft unless you are in a closed-in area. You can not use IR on a LIVE if you're using it as an extra cam feature. Batteries don't last long. MAYBE a 10min video if you're using IR function. I had to buy extra batteries and a charger. ANd the WIFI feature? for what? this seems to be a feature that has no reason...and the lens's , never real use them or the sun cover. Hey, I give the case 5 stars... ... show more

  • Best beginners camera
Great starter kit, it has everything you need. The 4k clarity is superb. Although it is lacking some of the finer controls within the camera features, like ISO... But for a starter camera it's perfect, you can select your white balance for a little extra light, but it's a starter camera, so if you don't have a detailed understanding of how to properly adjust camera settings for light, or don't care to learn. This camera is for you, it's mostly auto feature. Still gives great quality video either way. Plus the case and all the features are top notch. Audio, lights, camera... Action. ... Would recommend a tripod I haven't found a stability feature yet, and all forms of handheld are a bit shaky unless you go to the higher frame rates and slow your video in an editor after. ... Also I see no real loss in video quality as the frame rates go up. It stays clear and my video editor has no problem matching the video sizes and smoothing them together! ... Overall, I would buy again. ... show more

  • Not worth the price.
This camcorder should be better for the price you pay. It does not focus well and the remote doesn't work half the time. I don't find the picture quality to be 4k quality. The switch for Settings to Camera to Video is very loose and tends to get switched when you don't want it to. It really is ashame that it has these issues because other than that it has some AWESOME features and works great in other areas of operation. But ultimately I don't think it's worth the price. Maybe $200-$250 but that's about it. And it shouldn't be labeled as 4k.☹ ... show more
