Description

Why does the monitor image freeze? The solar camera runs on batteries and automatically plays and records footage in real time when the PIR sensor detects motion. When there is no human activity in the image, the image is in a frozen state and the camera hibernates to save power. Can this solar security camera system record 24/7? Yes, but you need to connect the camera to the power adapter via a type-c cable for power and change the recording mode to “keep recording” in the camera settings. How many cameras will the monitor support? Up to 10 cameras can be added to this system. Camcamp is a technology company specializing in security products. • Excellent Quality Wireless Security Camera
Review Image by Damon D
I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how easy this camera was to get up and running. From unboxing to having it mounted and working took me about five minutes. The installation is straightforward—just drill a few holes, mount it, and you’re good to go. The app setup is simple as well, though you do need to create an account to use it. The build quality stands out right away. The materials feel solid and durable, not cheap or flimsy, which gives me confidence it’ll hold up well outdoors. The integrated solar panel is a big plus—it does a good job keeping the battery charged without any hassle, so I don’t have to worry about constantly recharging it. In terms of performance, the video quality is very good and noticeably better than another security camera I own. The 2K resolution provides clear, detailed footage both during the day and at night. The color night vision works well, and the spotlight adds an extra layer of visibility when needed. The free features are actually quite useful. Human detection and alerts work as expected, and events are clearly organized in the app’s Events screen, making it easy to review activity. There is an optional subscription for more advanced AI features, but I didn’t feel the need to try it for basic use. The built-in siren is a nice touch—it’s loud enough to get attention without being overly harsh. I also appreciate the customization options in the settings, like syncing time with your phone and adjusting for daylight savings, although I did run into an issue where those didn’t work properly and my timestamps were off by an hour. Overall, this is a solid, easy-to-install solar security camera with good video quality and useful features right out of the box. Aside from the minor timestamp issue, it’s been a reliable addition to my setup. ... show more

    • Pretty Nice Cameras
Color: White Set name: Solar Camera with NVR
Review Image by Johnny Fudpucker
Pretty Nice Cameras Here is how these work. If you have a monitor, old tv etc with an HDMI port you can monitor your cams pretty sure you will need atleast a 1080p . The cameras battery life is exceptional. Got them yesterday and charged them all for about 5 hours. The day was cloudy and rainy all day, i was playing with the cams all day and they never went off completely full on the screen and as soon as the sun came up they started charging even before the sun hit them. The way I have mine set is to trigger a human event and I have had no false alarms except the flag in the strong wind to that, it triggers a movement event but not a event you are alerted to so it does not bug you . It comes with a 64GB card and if you don't have much activity this will be great for most people, if you want to do continuous all day recording you will need to install a 2.5 SSD in the NVR and it is advised yo use one designed for video surveillance just search "ssd 2.5 video surveillance" and you will have options. It will connect to other cameras that are ONVIF cams but it does not pick up events on the off brand I have connected. Easy to connect the cams to the NVR , NVR connects both to WIFI or Hardwired... Worth the 199 bucks paid ... show more

    • Solar panels may not keep them charged. In the winter i'm not sure
Color: White Set name: Solar Camera with Monitor
I felt like this was a really good deal. You have to buy memory cards for everything. So I wasn't prepared for that. But they only sit about half charge, and they're in full sunlight. They were fully charged. When I put them up, installation was very easy, I like that about it, but I feel like in the winter. If they sit half charged in full sunlight and summer in the winter glam, I have to take them down and charge them all the time. I don't know if that's what's gonna happen. But that's my fear, everything else is pretty satisfactory ... show more

    • Excellent Solar Security Camera Easy Setup & Crystal Clear Video!
I’m extremely impressed with the Camcamp Solar Security Cameras. The 2K video quality is sharp and clear, both during the day and at night. The color night vision is a standout feature—it makes a huge difference being able to clearly see details after dark instead of grainy black-and-white footage. Installation was quick and easy since the camera is completely wireless, and the solar panel keeps them charged without any hassle. I haven’t had to worry about batteries at all. The motion detection is accurate and sends timely alerts to my phone. The two-way talk works great and is loud and clear, which is perfect for communicating with delivery drivers or deterring unwanted visitors. The cameras feel well-built and handle outdoor weather without any issues. Overall, this is an excellent home security solution with great features, reliable performance, and convenient solar power. Highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade their outdoor security setup! ... show more

    • Great camera for the price
This camera is really easy to install. Since it's solar powered, I don't need to do any wiring. It's easy to setup and the video quality is great for this price. The best part is it's subscription free. Although, there are some features on the paid tier, I can live without them.
