These blinds are really well made. The raising/lowering mechanism is very smooth. The thickness of the blind material is of an excellent quality. A pull down, ring shape handle is provided. This will keep the fabric clean over time, no need to touch blind material. To raise, simply push up gently on the bottom trim piece. Super easy installation. We purchased the gray, the light filtering is just enough. Allowing a subtle amount to pass thorough. By all appearances, these are noticeably nice quality blinds. I ordered this shade for our garage window and didn’t want to spend much. This shade was easy to install and fit great. It does exactly what we needed. It looks a little like paper, but it isn’t. It does look like it didn’t cost much, but it didn’t. It looks fine for the garage.

I’ve had these blinds up for about 3 weeks now and they have done very well. Installation is very easy with directions and minimum tools. These are a great deal considering price but I would add that you should be gentle when raising or lowering as with all shades! I just ordered 3 more for other windows. ... show more

I love these. No breaking like the plastic ones. You can leave them down for privacy because you can't see through them but the light and sun shines a beautiful glow through them for light.. my cat scratches them and haven't gotten through and my cats can get through a screen.
