These are a very cheap alternative to “expensive quality” blinds. Our old house had custom honeycomb blinds that were quite pricey ($1,000+) but I loved the look - house also had smaller windows and less that needed blinds. Our new house has larger windows and many more than prior house. I felt that I couldn’t justify that price range at the moment granted it would probably be double or triple the price for custom. Honestly I wouldn’t have known the difference between the custom we had VS these. They are super easy to install. I hung 7 of them by myself, took less than 10 min per window to do. I did have to do outside mount as we got new windows and did not want to void the warranty…but I still wanted that inside mount look. Overall I think they look great. Love the look of these blinds. We did an outside mount directly to the top window frame/trim. They give complete coverage/privacy, but allow light to come through for brightness in the room. We would definitely get these again!

I very much like the clean lines of the shade and its frame. Also, it is lightweight (in terms of suitability when hung from wooden framing above the window). I found the drawings of the parts were well-done. However, the description of outside and inside mounting and the drawings of the outside and inside walls were confusing to me. The main drawback is that nowhere in the description of the shade (on the Amazon site) does it tell you that one cannot hang these shades next to each other in a "boxed" recessed space..... because, once the metal brackets are mounted on the wooden framing above the window, the shade can only be mounted by sliding it into the mounts from the left or the right side, and inserting/sliding the top of the shade through the first, then the second ceiling-attached holder. Once the first shade is installed (in a "boxed" area), there is no space to slide the second one into the mounts. This means the shades cannot be installed side-by-side. Since the company prefers you order one shade to make sure it will work for you, I did so, and installed the shade, only realizing after I had ordered the second shade, that the only way it can be installed is to place it about 2 Inches further out from the first shade so there will be space to slide it into the holders. It's only in our finished basement, but I did not expect this installation method (as other shades I have installed were slightly rotated just beneath the ceiling mounted holders and clicked upward into the holders/brackets). ... show more

    • Well made and easy to install
As mentioned by may others, these are very well made. I had the old shade down and this new one installed within 30-40 minutes of my UPS man delivering it. We have the old drawstring type shades all around the house that were here when we moved in 28+ years ago, so they're getting rather tired , hard to operate, and some of them are stained. These are just so much more convenient and easy to operate without the drawstrings. Regarding the mounting of these, if you want to mount two end to end using the inside mount option, you absolutely can mount two side by side in a tight space as the metal brackets are designed so you attach the shade assembly by simply pushing the shade straight onto them, not by sliding the shade onto them from the end. As others have mentioned doing, I went with just the one initially to see just how the quality was, and I can tell you that I will now be ordering more to go around the house. ... show more

    • Great shade for half the price
I bought this shade to try out for my house. It come as explained in the description and it fits perfectly to what I measured. I just order 3 more for my living room and kitchen. It’s exactly what I expect a cordless accordion type shade to look like for half the price of what the home improvement stores sells them at so I am very happy with them. Installation is pretty simple, just screw in two brackets to the top of you window frame( for inside mount) and clip the shades on. I am a rookie at DIY so it took me 30 mins to drill the hole ( nothing to do with the product, just me being slow) and about 10 mins to screw it in and clip it on. Highly recommend if you are looking for a classic shade without the bells and whistles and without the big price tag. ... show more
