Overall I'm very pleased with with this caliper. The display is large and easy to read. It automatically turns on when you adjust the caliper, and automatically turns off after 5 minutes. It uses a widely available 3V CR2032 lithium battery. So far it does not seem to drain the battery when not in use like another digital caliper I had did (what a pain - I had to remove the battery after every use). I knocked off one star because the description said that the box includes "one small screwdriver" (needed to pry open the unwieldy battery compartment cover), but no screwdriver was shipped with my order. I contacted the vendor and asked if they send the missing item. They responded but basically blew me off, so I had to buy a mini-screwdriver on my own. I see the ad still says a small screwdriver is included. Aside from the missing mini-screwdriver, this caliper is a quality instrument.

I've used this primarily in my hobby for several months now. It is smooth to operate and results are repeatable. The screen is large and easy to read. The function buttons have some "feel" to them which make them easy to use. I like that it shuts down automatically in a few minutes when not in use. Someone mentioned that it seemed heavier than other calipers he had used. I think it has a solid feel and have no problem with the extra weight, if there is any. The case is plastic and the latches may not last forever but I find it easier to just leave it on a convenient shelf ready to use. I have not changed the battery yet so am unable to comment on that operation. All in all, I'm pleased with this caliper and would buy it again. If I was going to use this professionally, I'd buy a Starrett or Mitutoyo but for the rest of us this will do the job.

I'm an old geezer now and can't see the fine markings on my old Mitutoyo caliper anymore, one without a dial, even with reading glasses. The display on the Qfun is very readable and I like the fact that I don't have to worry about turning it on or off. The "Qfun" name's a bit queer, though. :) This instrument seems to measure "right on the money" for not a lot of it. You know, I really miss the old felt lined boxes that tools like this used to come in. I'd have paid double if it had come in a nice felt-lined box. Oh, and yes, it did not come with the promised screwdriver; although I can't imagine for what it would have been used. So, I'm still giving it five stars because that's what the caliper itself deserves and is also what people want to know.

Buyer beware. Used maybe 10 times in 1 month and now misreads most of the time. Has not been exposed to anything except my desktop. Not dropped or mishandled in any way! Of course it is 10 days past the return window so that makes it trash. DO NOT BUY!
