This tv was purchased for my "cat room" so that my cats could watch Cat TV (i.e. 8+ hours of birds, squirls, & etc.) I was initially worried that I was going to have to go through the process of contacting the cable company, getting a cable box, cable cord & the like. However, this tv worked for what I needed right out of the box! Setup took maybe 7 minutes (skipping some unnecessary add on features) & once the tv connected to my wifi, everything worked perfectly. The picture quality is clear & vibrant & the sound is really good too -- even on low levels, you can still hear it clearly. I did freak out initially, because the tv kept shutting off after a couple of hours & I wasn't sure why, but it turned out that it was pre-set on a 4 hour timer to lessen energy consumption. You can choose pre-set hours long shut off time or to not use that feature entirely. I've only had the tv up & running for a few days now, but I am currently happy with my purchase. ... show more

This is working out well for us and was a great deal. I particularly like the option on the remote control to use voice -- so much better than going letter by letter when trying to search. Anyway, so far, so good!

    • Really Wanted this TV to Work
Setup was straightforward even though I have an iPhone, which is not compatible with this Android set. The picture was very good and sound more than adequate. Problem began when I shut the TV off for the evening and turned it on in the morning. No picture; no sound. The Input button did show TV, HDMI 1, and Android Home, the latter being the portal for all things beyond cable. Pressing HDMI did not bring up a channel. I found that by turning the set off by the power button and then unplugging it, everything later worked, although it went back to a reset/setup mode. Amazon Customer Service got me connected to Caixun support and I thought we had it “fixed”. But I had only shut the TV down with the remote for a minute or two and it came right back on. For some reason leaving the set off for an hour or more results in a black screen and no sound when trying to turn it on. Not an acceptable situation so I am returning it and will hook my old Samsung back up. ... show more

    • The absolute worst sound quality
Do not purchase. It has the absolute worst audio I have ever heard from a TV or any device. I even bought a sound bar and the tv won’t connect to it. I’m going to return it. What a waste of time and money.
