Description

Cafe Altura Viennese Blend Coffee is sourced from the southern states of Chiapas, Mexico, where there are mountain ranges that provide higher altitudes and ideal climates for cultivating coffee. The vast majority of farms are family owned with less than 10 acres of land. The coffee harvest typically begins in October and ends in March. Volcanic soils, high altitude and a variety of shade trees offer an ideal environment for growing arabica coffees organically and sustainably.

I've tried 5 of Cafe Altura coffees, which are all very good in their own notes, but this Morning Blend was the 1st one I tried, of which I took great note, so it's got a special place in my fancy coffee canisters. Sometimes I buy direct and sometimes off of Amazon or another site. This bag that I just received, it's vacuum-packed, smells great and did a Pour-over. It's nice. I got this to try it when I need a bit more coffee before my auto-ship of Cafe Altura's Dark Roast (which I adore). This was very poorly described; I was hoping it was organic, fair-trade, shade-grown, like the Dark Roast, and it is. I've found from this coffee and another brand I've tried recently that I like Italian Roast, but I much prefer a plain "Dark Roast." I think this is a fine coffee, but it's just not for me. If you want an Italian Roast, I would definitely give this a try! ... show more

Disappointed with this coffee. Tasted harsh and bitter, way too strong and acidic. I much prefer Cafe Altura morning blend.

Both my husband and I like a cup of coffee that is not weak, has excellent coffee flavor without being bitter. We loved this brand and will purchase again. This is right up there with our favorite coffee.

Personally, this is my favorite Cafe Altura brand. It's bold and smooth at the same time. Hard to find it at most stores, but I can always find it on Amazon!

I did not purchase this from Amazon but a local Grocery store. This is the absolute best coffee EVER. I was in a coffee club, I ran out of a certain coffee that I liked, while I was waiting for my shipment I ran across this coffee. Decided to give it a try. I immediately cancelled my coffee club and never looked back. Now that I know Amazon has this coffee this WILL become a verified purchased review. I have been drinking this for 6 years now and have not tired of it. It has never been bitter not once. No matter what I do to it, it has a consistently smooth taste.
