I recently acquired a couple of high quality electrical line filtering units I wished to use for my computers and home theater electronics, but they were built specifically to be used on 20-amp recepticals, to support full 20-amp loads. However, my house unfortunately has mostly 15-amp (14 gauge) wiring, and this is the case in the two locations I wished to deploy these units. Given I know the loads I intend to use are well within the limits of the 15a circuits in those locations, I was certain it would be safe to use these adapters to allow my deployment of these new electrical line filtering devices with the use of these adapters without creating an unsafe condition.
