Bought one of these pencils at the Rockler store. I love the pencil love everything about it. Except DON’T let it fall and hit the deck. The tips break off and it’s rendered total garbage! Rockler store has no problem I’m replacing it and giving me a new one. But it’s a 110 mile round-trip. So I ordered two more though Amazon. The second just now hit the deck and broke the tip off. Two down and one left. Don’t buy this, it’s a piece of crap!!

I was turned on to this product through a co-worker. I must say, it is an extremely practical pencil set. The lead is strong, the sharpeners are perfect, and the mechanical function of the barrel is precise. Not much else to say than "Well-Made". Edit: As it turns out, all was well until I was marking a piece of lumber the other day and the tip broke off the pencil. The pencil body is made of brass, the tip is made of metal, and the part that connects them is cheap thin plastic. Genius. Snapped right across the threads that hold the tip on. Completely unusable now. Replacing with the 2mm Staedtler.

Very impressed with the quality of this pencil! Way better than I expected. Advancing the lead with the button works and feels precise and controlled. The lead size makes it usable for general lumber marking, yet can be sharpened for fine line, precise marking. I love that they include extra lead, eraser, and sharpener in the package, instead of making you order them separately.

This is way too fragile to use in a workshop. Maybe it could be used for a drawing and stored safely in a drawer but even with a little bump in the shop, the tip breaks off.
