I already had the wired version when this came out, but let me tell you if you collect coins like I do this is awesome! Take it with you anywhere and it only takes a few minutes to go through your change each time you get any to know if you want to keep it or not. I’ve found it to be a wonderful tool to keep with me. - it’s also a conversation starter because people are going to ask what you’re doing. I use the product for a digital microscope that was given to me for Christmas. Two things that I've found will be helpful. First, if you set the digital microscope with the focus knob away from you (and on the opposite side of the screws that are in the ring to hold it in place) the image displayed on the monitor is flipped upside down from how it is set on the platform. If you want the image to display the same way that you set it down, you need to set the microscope in the ring so that the focus knob is in between the ring screws which hold it in place. It's tricky, and absolutely possible to do. You can keep the microscope set like that when not in use, just use the cover over the lens. Second, when the stand is fully tightened, it is slightly off-center. This is not a problem since it isn't enough to be going off of the stand, especially at the size of the objects being examined. What really matters here is that the stand is sturdy for its purpose. If I take it down, I don't have to worry about accidentally stripping threads off of something made of plastic. I don't have to worry about it bending with adjustment or under the weight of the microscope. I don't have to worry about wearing it down every time I tighten the screw that holds the microscope frame in place on the bar. It holds the microscope and doesn't move. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Summary: Takes 2ish mins to "warm up" Stand works very well Camera shifts when focusing in and out Focus wheel is nice and smooth Good lighting App us alright, overexposed which can't be changed. But this device works across multiple apps, so you might be able to find a better one. Great for the money UPDATE: that litter "quirk" keeps getting worse: gotta wait longer every time. If that were fixed this would be fantastic, but until then I'm returning it. When you first connect, the fps stays at about 5 for roughly 2 mins, then goes to normal. That essentially means u can't use it for 2 mins so if you have to pull it out quick it's not gonna work. This would have been a deal breaker for me, but the focus wheel works a lot better than the same models. Most of them shift the camera a lot so you have to re-enter the subject. This one does that but not as much. I have another device of the same make and model, and it shifts a lot. Time will tell if this one does the same. The stand works very well. Other sellers put a very cheap, useless stand with it that might as well bot be in the package, but this one is great. ... show more

I like the way the stand is made, and how smoothly it adjust up and down to focus the digital microscope. I bought the stand to hold a digital microscope which is used at 40 magnifications to check the very small radius (0.004", 0.1 mm) I have lapped on a lathe tool bit to make gear cutters for cutting very small gears. This relatively inexpensive set-up takes the place of an expensive optical comparator to check small parts. ... show more
