My husband and I don't often write reviews (yet, we often read them before purchasing - go figure). But we feel compelled to take the time to do so regarding the ACRE Carbon Ultralight Rollator Walker. We are SO HAPPY with our decision to choose this model for it's ease of movement, sturdy and classy design, and light weight (which makes it SO easy to load it in and out of the car). It also seems to encourage one to walk more upright than our old walker, and it handles really well in the snow-covered sidewalks. It appears as though everything was well thought out regarding the design and function, including the box in which it is shipped! All we did was open the box, removed the walker, and expanded the handles. That was it. This walker is pretty expense compared to other walkers on the market, but we are so impressed with the quality we know we made the right decision. A couple things to consider: - We initially purchased the compact model based on the measurements of our old walker. It turned out that the space between the handles was too narrow for my husband to sit spaciously down on the seat. We exchanged it for the regular model with a wider frame (save the box!). That turned out to be a good move. - The seat isn't as deep as our old walker which made my husband a bit nervous when he first sat on it. But, it holds weight much greater then him, so he's getting used to it. I just ordered the back strap thinking it might make him feel more secure. I aim someone who doesn't not think of myself as someone who is a senior. Though I am. And I have required a cane to walk for a number of years. The thought of a walker, or a wheelchair, was a bridge too far, for me. I hated using them on the occasions it was necessary. And then I saw guy with a by ACRE Rollator. The design was on another level from anything I had seen before. I immediately looked into the product line and after reading about other versions, I within a day, purchased the Ultralight Collator for Seniors. It weighs just 10.6 lbs. and I chose the Forest green. It arrived in two days, and it as beautiful as it is functional. No assembly, (except as adjusting the height of the handles. The seat, is right there if you need to sit down quickly. The hand brakes, work individually or together. The cables are hidden. The wheels never need inflating, and the balance and design of the unit, (calling it a walker, is an insult to the design team) is so well designed and made. The spectrum of functionality gives one a sense it has been designed by NASA for the amount of thought and refined safety hacks that are there. But no extra bells and whistles to confuse, or break easily. But having reduced riskin a high wind, or wet surface. Little or almost no risk of it rolling away from you should you be on a declining walkway. The hand brakes provide the ability to contract your pace, like downshifting on a car does. It opens and folds extremely easily. And at 10 pounds, six ounces, I can fold it and lift it into the trunk of my car or it will fit in the passenger seat. The stability and smooth performance that will turn on a dime, are just more top of the line features they have managed to incorporate in this device. To be clear, my core strength is limited, I have issues with both shoulders and both knees. I have to be careful, because I am considered to be at risk of falling. But I am able to lift items under 20 lbs I can walk for reasonable distances without a caregiver with the Collator (Or cane). Stairs are another story, but possible, if necessary. I don't want to mislead anyone by my review. But I also want to encourage others that have limitations such as I have described regarding myself, that if your considering something like this, this review is to simply state, for me it's been a game changer.I wa not paid nor did I get a discount. I just think when we find something that really makes a big difference in dealing with the challenges we face, share it.

This rollator is very well designed and made. I needed a light weight rollator as the one I have weighs 20 lbs and is difficult for me to lift into the car. This is light weight as advertised. Also, it was easily put together. Although it is expensive, it is worth the extra extra money because of the use I will have for it. Yesterday, my knee swelled up and I had to use the rollator in the house. I found it very maneuverable and was able to take into every room in the house.

It might cost a pretty penny. But it is light weight, easy to store. Stable. My mom has had the normal rollators that are black, has a seat etc. But after switching to this one the ease of taking it any where got easier. Now rember the normal size of a European person is small. So if you have a wider hip get the wider one. My mom takes this when traveling to Europe, cruises, tours and it made the world of difference. It can go over coble stone with ease. If you can splurge or save you money, I highly recommend this product.
