  • Now you have no excuse for not hitting your ball the right distance.
This is the latest version of Bushnell's hybrid gps and laser golf rangefinder. It is lighter than the previous, but has two improvements over the prior version: it incorporates the gps information onto the internal laser screen so that you see both the actual pin distance and front/back of green distances, the second improvement is adding their 'jolt' technology to the model. The unit works well, is easy to use and quickly acquires the pin when using the laser. I have only used it now for several games, so I might change my rating with more use. Two things that I don't like on this version include the gps battery life and the rubber eye-piece. If you put the unit in its case with the eye-piece up you run the risk of it coming off as you pull the unit back out of the case. Minor, but an inconvenience. More concerning is that fact that Bushnell went with a two battery system on this unit vs the prior single rechargeable battery. In this new unit, you have a built-in rechargeable battery that powers the gps, and a replaceable CR2 battery that powers the laser. In the prior unit where both were powered by the built-in rechargeable battery, it would easily last 3 or more games before requiring a recharge. And even if the charge dropped to the point where the gps would no longer function, you could still use the laser to finish out the round. In the new version, the built-in rechargeable battery is supposed to last 3 rounds but so far hardly makes it through 2 rounds. ... show more

  • Works well, but battery life on the GPS is not good
I gave this 5 stars even with the poor battery life for the GPS. The price point is near one that would only have the line of sight finder (two separate batteries). The GPS is always running when you activate it, thus wears down the battery. They could take steps to improve this by at least putting the screen to sleep until you activate it with a button or shacking it. You will also have issue using the sleeve with a magnet since the screen is on the side. It does appear in the view finder, but your buttons are on the side, Doable, but will effort. Good luck in remembering to charge your battery (only good for 1-2 rounds at best). Cool approach, but design GPS battery management needs some work. It does find the course well and moves around the course automatically as you progress from hole to hole. ... show more

  • Laser
So I’ve had this Bushnell Hybrid for approx. 1 year. The laser portion went dead. I contacted Bushnell and stated that it was within my warranty and what should or can I do to get this replaced. They said “send it back and will give you a coupon towards your next purchase”. Thanks for nothing Bushnell, my 3rd range finder, you would think the amount of $$$ spent on this would count for something. Apparently NOT. Hello Callaway!!!! Much happier with this one anyway Bushnell. Learn Loyalty and Customer Service! ... show more

  • Not all I had hoped for but does what I need
I miss the old model, a lot! I hate that I have to recharge each and every round!!! I find the clamshell useless based on the fact that I don't hang it on the bag any more because I have to bring it in each evening and recharge it, that clamshell case just dangles empty on my bag as I have another bag to bring my rechargeable items in with. Yeah, it hits my targets about 90% with ease, and yeah it gives me the GPS data consistently, OK it feels comfortable in my hand as well but I still miss the old model very badly!!! As far as I know there are no other hybrids out there that do what I want and keep the charge, I'm not sure why they made this model worse than the last one. ... show more

  • Great rangefinder but made of plastic so don't drop it or run it over
I like all the features of this rangefinder. It is easy to use and has both the gps and laser functionality you want. I find the battery lasts for two rounds, maybe more if needed. Be sure to turn off after charging. If you want link to Bushnell app on phone, it does that easily. I prefer to use the app I have used for many years for info an scoring. The only downside is this is made of plastic, not the heavy metal of 10 years ago. I had to order this one to replace the one that slid bounced off my golf cart seat and my buddy ran over it. Keep it secure and order a silicone cover. ... show more

  • Like the GPS
I have always used a Lazer range finder. But having this GPS built into the unit really helps. This time of year in Ore. most courses go to Power cats must keep on the path.. So I can look at the GPS and see what clubs I am going to need. Rather than grabbing 4 or 5 clubs. Now I normally just take 2 or 3. And with pins in the back. I now know how much room I have over the pin to the back of the green. BUt can't get the unit to par with my phone to give me an overview of the holes and trouble. They say you can get 2 rounds out of the battery of the GPS. I have only got 27 holes. ... show more

  • Good laser!
Good laser, yes need to charger battery (front middle back) after every round, battery for laser to pin lasts a long time. Fellow caddies and my self find the button to wear out eventually. I’m sticking with bushnell very good laser, had much worse. I will buy another one. Joe Kay

  • Great 2 in 1
I used to have a golf buddy with just GPS and worked great until I left it in a cart. However, there are numerous times on Par 3s and pitches where flag distance needs to be more accurate and I find myself wishing for a range finder often. Well not anymore, this Hybrid is great for a glance at approximate distance using the GPS and the pinseeker technology makes the range finder easy and fast. I have used other range finders without pinseeker tech, and the difference is very noticeable...this range finder is so much better, easier and faster. Everything about it, even the case, is pretty great. I'm easy to please and can't think of anything negative to say about it. I don't foresee ever having to purchase another rangefinder again, unless I forget it in a cart (knock on wood). ... show more
