I had a pretty large (golf ball size or smaller) dark spot in the middle of my forehead near my hairline. It wasn't a full-fledged dark spot yet but it was noticeable in proper lighting. After about 2 weeks of using this product, it is already starting to fade. The consistency is a little thinner that I would want it to be, but that definitely isn't a deal breaker for me. Applies easily. Leaves your skin a bit tacky and a touch shiny - would be ok under makeup but I wouldn't put it on in the morning to wear throughout the day b/c it will make you look oily (I apply at night only) ... show more

    • There is no lingering scent that's barely there
I will come back because I dunno about ancient dark spots yet. I am waiting for one in particular that bothers me most for its position on my face. It looks like a smear from food and that's gross assumption of a 60 yr old. Of course if I am leaving my studio apt I follow spot corrector with Burts Bees SPF30 Day Lotion Renewal. If you use too much it forms a grittiness as you rub in the day Lotion so go easy on both. I don't know if it is my fault or theirs but I have cut down on my heavier use of spot corrector on days where I am going out and that seemed to work. I use the spot corrector more hoping for results and I won't be able tell as I see me every day. I expect I'll notice if and when they actually disappear. I have missed a few days since purchasing so I add all over face and then dab for long period of time on spots that are more pronounced; unless of course like for head where many are very close together. That is where the peeling, pulling up granular pcs begin to show up so I really do think the problem is me lol. Here's to very little smell that fades after absorption (?) and to not breaking me out!!! Most lotions and moisturize things break me out and they're non-cogmedgenic(sp?-hard word to spell or say! Lol). That is why I purchased both in the same brand and without, fragrance. Now will they work is my concern. I'll come back for 5 if the spots go away! I've always liked Burt’s Bees products, so I had high hopes for this one. I’ve been using it for almost a week now, and while I understand that it can take time to see visible improvement in dark spots, I haven’t noticed any changes so far. My main concern is the texture—it leaves my face feeling sticky, which becomes especially uncomfortable when I sweat. That’s the primary reason for my lower rating at this point. On my third bottle. I did not get my dark spots on my face overnight and do not expect to get rid of them overnight. I wouldn’t give up all of those wonderful fishing trips and swimming in the sun! Would do it all again. This product has lightened my dark patches and I am so glad I tried it.
