πŸš€ Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

Most reviewers commended the value they got from the Burris Scope, lauding its functionality, clearly marked reticles, and bright optic illumination. Many cited its performance as comparable to pricier scopes on the market. However, some users find the eye box a little shallow and the weight heavier than anticipated.

Pros

  • πŸ” Clear glass and bright optic illumination
  • πŸ’² Good value for money
  • 🎯 Suitable for ranges from 25-300 meters
  • πŸ”„ Comes with an adjustment knob for easy brightness settings

Cons

  • 😐 Eye box could be a bit shallow for some users
  • πŸ‹οΈβ€β™‚οΈ Heavier than some users expected
  • πŸ”‹ Some users expressed that the reticle does not auto switch off, which can drain the battery
  • πŸŽ› Adjustment per click is only 1/2 MOA

Should I Buy It?

If you're looking for a high-value scope that offers clear visuals, bright optic illumination, and straightforward operation, the Burris Scope could be an excellent choice for you. Given its heavier weight, it may not be a perfect match for users seeking lightweight gear, but overall, it seems to be a solid investment for most shooters.

  • Solid Budget Friendly LPVO
Size: Scope Only
Needed an LPVO for a .22LR rifle build. I have a time test, precision .22lr that I have a Millet 1x4 LPVO on. Say what you will, but the optic has proven reliable for over a decade and has serviced more vermin than I could count. With that in mind, my initial inclination was just to buy another Millet, but Millet was apparently bought out by Bushnell who seems to have discontinued the line. In steps Burris from out of nowhere to fill the void with an identical optic, or least this one is really similar to my original Millet. I like the reticle. But I don't like cluttered reticles. I'm not applying dope with an LPVO, so the reticle circle is adequate for windage and drop since I'm not taking 600 yard shots with my .22lr, although I have taken it out beyond 100 yards with adequate results. This LPVO is a 1x6, and now I'm thinking I need to replace my older Millet with another Burris just to get that extra 2x. Glass is clear. The eye box is a little shallower than I'd like, but it's workable, and sufficient for this price point. The reticle illumination is good. It provides excellent contrast on the sunniest of days. If I have a gripe, it's that the reticle doesn't time off, and if I'm deliberate when storing the rifle, the next time I pull it out the battery will be dead. Overall, excellent optic, again for the price point. I wouldn't put this on my precision 308, but that's not what it's designed for. ... show more

  • Great LPVO
Size: Scope Only
Clearest "budget" LPVO I have ever seen, much better than Vortex Strike Eagle. The eyebox is smaller than some scopes, but is TRUE 1x. Easy throw lever, but not so loose that it will adjust itself. Yes, it is big and heavy, but it gets the job done.

  • THE MOST COST EFFECTIVE PHILIPPINES/JAPANESE MADE LPVO
Size: Scope Only
Let's get right to it. If you're looking for the best bang for buck LPVO in the market, THIS IS IT! I mean that with every word. Want more explanation? Let's start with functionality. This scope functions very well. From the diopter to the magnification dial to the turrets. Everything function well. There is a very tiny bit of slop/play with the turrets but they are capped and you probably will never touch them again once the scope is zeroed. Speaking of zero, I have this on a Warne QD scope mount. Took it off my AR, put it back on and still held zero. Accidentally dropped the scope with the mount. Put it back on the AR, still held zero. In case you're wondering. It held zero at 50 and 100 yards. That leads us to the next thing, accuracy. This thing is accurate being that it holds zero well. What more is there to say? Not only is it accurate, but overall easy to use due to the quality for the money. Speaking of quality for the money, this thing is literally made both in Japan and Philippines. Depending on the model you get. Some batches are from Japan while some are from the Philippines. But regardless of which country out of the two it is made, the glass is made in the Philippines. In case you didn't know, some higher end optics like the Vortex Viper PST line up have Philippine glass and made in the Philippines. Speaking of the Vortex Viper PST, comparing the illumination in this thing compared to the Viper 1-6x. It's not much of a comparison being that the Viper 1-6x is absolutely day light bright. This is not that, however, this is well bright enough to be used during a very sunny day. Depending on your eyes, you should have no issue finding the reticle and acquiring your target. Unless you're blind like me, then I don't know what to tell ya. Just kidding, this is a well illuminated scope and functions properly for it's intended purpose regardless of time of day. Actually brighter than most in the same price point and category. For reference, here is the tier for glass quality followed by build quality. Top Tier: Japan/Germany Mid to Top: Philippines Low to Mid: China Top Tier: Japan/Philippines/Germany Low to Mid: China (With some exemptions lately) Overall, you will not not find another LPVO at this price point with the same overall quality. Sure it's a bit older now, but even though I have higher end LPVOs at this point, I still tend to enjoy using this one and at first I couldn't figure out why. Until I realized that it's such a very well made optic for the price that absolutely punches above it's price category. It's one of those feel good buy. Again, stop reading my review and just buy it. Because the next best thing to this is literally the Vortex Viper PST 1-6x. I don't want to hear the Primary Arms 1-6x Gen IV with the Nova Fiber being inserted in this conversation. Although day light bright like the Viper PST, both the glass and overall build quality is not like this one. It's made in China, but it's still good. Just not as good as this one in my humble opinion. Okay, you made it this far in my review. You might as well buy it! No, I don't work for Burris. LOL! ... show more

  • Excellent scope, very clear, great price
Size: Scope Only
Easy install and operation. It’s intuitive. The glass is very clear and the wide field of view is excellent. The red illuminated center is clear enough to be useful, but small enough not to be distracting. I had to scoot the scope back to avoid eye strain and feel more comfortable. I recommend this scope. ... show more

  • Great product, lame seller...
Size: Scope Only
I'll try to keep this brief, because I'm irritated while writing this review. πŸ˜‘ 1) they shipped UPS adult signature required. I work an hour from home. After three delivery attempts, (because I have a job) I had to drive across town, and wait in line for an hour to pick it up. (Adult signature required) for a scope is just unnecessary. πŸ™„ 2) scope was put in the box backwards, so the lid was only able to close halfway. 3) scope was shipped with a battery installed, and on. (Dead battery) 4) when new this scope is packaged with two batteries, a lens cloth, and wrenches for adjustment. (I recently purchased one new) I received a scope with a dead battery installed, and nothing else. Wasn't even in the box correctly for shipment. Description said new with factory box open. This scope had been mounted previously. I'm not sure if it had been used or not. Overall: bad deal. Buy a new one so you know what you're getting. Not worth the minor discount to buy "used in new condition" Good luck πŸ’ͺ🏻 ... show more
