Top Amazon Reviews

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

Most reviewers commended the value they got from the Burris Scope, lauding its functionality, clearly marked reticles, and bright optic illumination. Many cited its performance as comparable to pricier scopes on the market. However, some users find the eye box a little shallow and the weight heavier than anticipated.

Pros

  • 🔍 Clear glass and bright optic illumination
  • 💲 Good value for money
  • 🎯 Suitable for ranges from 25-300 meters
  • 🔄 Comes with an adjustment knob for easy brightness settings

Cons

  • 😐 Eye box could be a bit shallow for some users
  • 🏋️‍♂️ Heavier than some users expected
  • 🔋 Some users expressed that the reticle does not auto switch off, which can drain the battery
  • 🎛 Adjustment per click is only 1/2 MOA

Should I Buy It?

If you're looking for a high-value scope that offers clear visuals, bright optic illumination, and straightforward operation, the Burris Scope could be an excellent choice for you. Given its heavier weight, it may not be a perfect match for users seeking lightweight gear, but overall, it seems to be a solid investment for most shooters.

  • Solid Budget Friendly LPVO
Style: Scope Only Pattern Name: Riflescope
Needed an LPVO for a .22LR rifle build. I have a time test, precision .22lr that I have a Millet 1x4 LPVO on. Say what you will, but the optic has proven reliable for over a decade and has serviced more vermin than I could count. With that in mind, my initial inclination was just to buy another Millet, but Millet was apparently bought out by Bushnell who seems to have discontinued the line. In steps Burris from out of nowhere to fill the void with an identical optic, or least this one is really similar to my original Millet. I like the reticle. But I don't like cluttered reticles. I'm not applying dope with an LPVO, so the reticle circle is adequate for windage and drop since I'm not taking 600 yard shots with my .22lr, although I have taken it out beyond 100 yards with adequate results. This LPVO is a 1x6, and now I'm thinking I need to replace my older Millet with another Burris just to get that extra 2x. Glass is clear. The eye box is a little shallower than I'd like, but it's workable, and sufficient for this price point. The reticle illumination is good. It provides excellent contrast on the sunniest of days. If I have a gripe, it's that the reticle doesn't time off, and if I'm deliberate when storing the rifle, the next time I pull it out the battery will be dead. Overall, excellent optic, again for the price point. I wouldn't put this on my precision 308, but that's not what it's designed for. ... show more

  • Great Scope
Style: Scope Only Pattern Name: Riflescope
I've been through a lot of low and mid budget scopes. I'n not one of those guys that can spend 400+ let alone $1000+ on an optic. I know you get what you pay for but while I could afford it, I just can't get myself to do it. That said, for $350.00, I think this is the best scope I've ever owned. Great reticle, clear glass, electronics work as they should with the reticle. I like the off positions between each setting. I love the reticle, just what you need as joe average defensive shooter, nothing you don't and very visible at all settings. Been going back and forth between 1st and 2nd focal plane and while I've studied the pro/cons of each, I think overall I like seeing the reticle at all times easily so it appears 2nd is my best way to go. REALLY THOUGH BURRIS, $350.00 and you couldn't squeeze in some lens covers? I gave this 4 stars for value because I think that while its very nice, I believe it's made in China and I think Burris could do a bit better pricewise. I don't think with the millions of scopes made in China that this one is of a quality or labor intensity that justifies the price. That said, I'd buy this one again as for the money, this has been the best I can find in all respects. Probably paying for the Lifetime Warranty which I hope not to need and if so, I hope Burris puts there word behind their written warranty. ... show more

  • Great product, clear glass
Style: Scope Only Pattern Name: Riflescope
I'm happy with the value. Not made in China. Glass is Cristal clear. I got a refurbished one and the box was beat up but the scope was new. Another great product from burris (I like my x3 prism sight too). Andrew Cloy

  • Very decent budget LPVO
Style: Scope Only Pattern Name: Riflescope
for The price i got this thing at, bordering 300, it really is a nice scope once you mount it on an Aero scope mount. Eye relief is quite generous at 1x and while it does get a little ropey at 6x its completely serviceable if youve trained enough with it The brightness with the illumination on isnt anything crazy and the adjustment per click is only 1/2 moa but other than those two things its a very solid purchase. ... show more

  • Really good for the money
Style: Scope Only Pattern Name: Riflescope
This glass is amazingly clear for the price point. The fit and feel is very nice. It held a good zero and does its job. It lacks clarity in low light and at full zoom but all in all I would recommend it as a good budget optic!

  • Very clear glass
Style: Scope Only Pattern Name: Riflescope
I’ve found that the lens in this Burris scope are as good as any out there today and cost less. That being said, this model is as AR 15 oriented scope that is excellent for ranges from 25-300 meters. The adjustment on illumination is fantastic- with the off positions between each level setting you can set the level you want, turn the knob one click to turn it off. Then when you want to use it again, turn it one click and you are at your desired setting. No more going through multiple setting levels to get back to your desired setting. I would have preferred having flip up lens cover come with it, but those can be ordered separately. ... show more

  • Great value
Style: Scope Only Pattern Name: Riflescope
I have an XTR II 1-5 to compare to. Both mounted on similar setups so I can compare side to side. The XTR II seems much more rugged. The turret caps are better and the ability to zero the turrets is much better on the XTR II. The illumination is much brighter on the XTR II. I live in AZ and mid day sun is no issue. With the RT6, the same sun doesn’t wash out the illumination completely, you can see it is lit and the red helps with reticle visibility on a dark background. The glass, to my eyes, is the same. I can’t tell a difference. Maybe a little chromatic aberration, especially if eye position isn’t perfect. The extra 1x you get with the RT6 is real. You can see the difference in magnification. It is a true 1x. Depending on your adjustment of the reticle to focus it to your eye, this can change a bit. More than 10 or 12 feet away it is very good. No issues with both eyes open. Last comment, I love using an illuminated etched reticle. Totally crisp vs what I see with a dot due to an astigmatism. ... show more
