Had a bit of a bump with this grinder. The first one I received wouldn’t let me select the grind so I contacted Amazon and after 2 “chats” was finally able to get the scan code to return the machine. I didn’t want to return it but to replace it. In the end I was able to get a replacement within a day or two and the second machine works great. It is fairly quiet, very quick and can grind a lot more coffee than my last grinder which is a simple grinder with no settings. There is a learning curve on how much coffee to grind per cup. But all in all it’s a great grinder!

Pase de un molinillo de cuchillas a este molinillo de rebabas, la diferencia es abismal, puedo calibrar correctamente el grado de molienda para mi espresso, es silencioso, rápido, y la molienda es consistente, el sabor de la bebida de cafe mejora considerablemente. El sistema antiestático funciona realmente. La limpieza es un poco tediosa pero nada que no pueda realizarse con la brocha incluida, retiene unos 2-3 gr por molienda. Toma unos 10 seg en moler 18 gr. para un espresso doble en molienda nivel 3. La unidad principal se ve robusta, sin embargo la tolva y el recipiente de salida son de plástico muy delgado, espero no se rompan si accidentalmente se caen. En general estoy muy satisfecho con la compra, el tiempo dirá si es o no durable el equipo.

I had another coffee grinder that did a good job, but it was plagued by static cling. I ended up with a mess on the kitchen counter and floor virtually every day. Aggravating! The Amazchef holds more beans, is much quieter -- and there's NO static as promised by other reviewers. It was a great Prime Day purchase!

This review is for the Amzchef conical burr coffee grinder model #AZ-BG709S. This is nearly identical to model #BG709S (notice the absence of the “AZ-“ prefix). BUYER BEWARE - read this review before ordering. I ordered the “AZ-“ prefix version because the description says that it can be set to grind longer (56 seconds vice 40 seconds) or can be set to grind for 14 cups of coffee vice 12. It is also listed as being slightly taller - this wasn’t a concern. Immediately upon unpacking I plugged in the grinder to verify the grinding options were as stated. They were not; they are identical to the non “AZ-“ prefix version, which was listed as $10 cheaper on Monday 7/15/2024. Today 7/17/2024, both versions are still listed, with additional discounts for Prime Day. The packaging, and the label on the bottom of the unit, both indicate that I received the model I ordered. Obviously, there is no actual difference in features that justify the higher price. I will be returning this unit and have ordered the non “AZ-“ prefix version as a replacement. Edit #1: Updated rating from 3 stars to 4 based on initial usage of the new unit (see below). Returned original purchase and received a full refund. Ordered and received the model listed without the “AZ-“ prefix. The box for the new unit, and the label on the bottom of the unit, both have the “AZ-“ prefix so clearly they only offer one model. Initial impressions: As far as functionally, I’m happy with the performance so far. This unit produces a much larger volume of ground coffee per second than the unit this replaces so still experimenting with length of grind to obtain my preferred strength of brew. It’s safe to say that there’s no need for a longer grind capability. I agree with another reviewer that stated the plastic receptacle cup does not seem to build up as much of a static charge. This allows the grounds to empty more completely with less mess. I do sometimes find a small amount of grounds have dropped out of the grinder after the cup is removed. This is a small annoyance easily cleaned up. I’ve had several grind-n-brew coffee makers as well as standalone grinders and this is the quietest grinder by far. Not silent, but not deafening either. All in all, I’m satisfied with this purchase so far. Hopefully durability will match these first impressions.

This is the best, most well made grinder I have had yet. Zero fines clinging to sides of holder or interally in geinder. Even grinds whether you choose course, medium or fine! Stainless steele conical chamber grinds evenly and with little heat. I had a flat burr grinder before which was noisy, inconsistant size and left fines all over machine, counter and static in receptacle so you could not get coffe out. You will be glad you purchased this grinder at a fair price for the great quality of materials and product performance. L

The last coffee grinder I had created quite the mess whenever I try to make coffee. Coffee ground dust literally everywhere. This one eliminates that issue completely. Grinds much better, has more grind size options, and is fairly quiet. I also like how I can grind coffee directly in my espresso portafilter if I want.
