  • This is a serious suppressor cover for serious suppressor use.
BLUF: This is a serious suppressor cover for serious use. If you’re running a suppressor hard and need reliable heat resistance, retention, and durability, Burn Proof Gear delivers exactly what it promises. Amazing product. This Burn Proof Gear suppressor cover is designed for extreme heat and professional use. The dual-layer construction does exactly what it’s supposed to do—manages heat effectively during sustained fire while protecting gear, hands, and surroundings from suppressor burn. Fit is excellent. The no-slip design stays locked in place, even when the suppressor gets hot, and it doesn’t shift or creep during movement or firing. This is a must for running and gunning, keeping the suppressor cooler to the touch, and mitigating your thermal signature. The sizing is accurate, and the availability of multiple lengths makes it easy to get a proper, secure fit for different setups. The price point is not bad for how well it works, but I would consider checking out the burn proof gear website before buying from Amazon. Materials feel rugged, purpose-built, and durable, not flimsy or gimmicky. It handles repeated heat cycles without breaking down and inspires confidence during extended range sessions or hard training days. ... show more

  • After less than ideal situation, BP comes through.
***Update to statement below: BP had me call them and Alain was fantastic. He is having me send my blown out cover back and they will be sending me another cover that is 0.25" longer than the one I got. I greatly appreciate them making this right and I will now up their star rating in my review. Looking forward to getting the new cover! Item seems to be of good materials and construction. My issue is with both Burn Proof and Amazon. Based on the manufacturer's recommendations, I ordered the 7" variant. After installing, it seemed to be a little too short compared to all pictures I've seen where it wraps around both ends a little. Mine seemed to just come to the ends and looked like it wouldn't be a secure fit. I tried to return it for the 7.5" variant through Amazon, but a "wrong size" option isn't available, so Amazon just sent me an exact replacement. After submitting the exchange through Amazon, BP contacted me via email. I showed them pictures of the installation and was told it looked right, so when Amazon's replacement came, I just sent it back. After about 10 min of shooting, the cover came off the front and landed about 6' in front of me with the front blown out. I imagine this would not have happened if it had be wrapped around both ends. Specifically the rear section. I took a picture and informed BP, but have not received any reply. I'm pretty disappointed as these aren't cheap, and I've read their customer service was excellent. I had hoped they would have reached out in an attempt to make things right, but at this time, that hasn't happened. BTW, I tightened the cordage down VERY tightly, so it didn't come off because it was loose. ... show more

  • Fits great and takes the heat, easy touch with bare hands after many shots
Color: FDE Size: 6.5
Fits tight, no movement after shooting. Can remove by hand after many shots. Not going to accidentally burn yourself or friends.

  • Well, I Didn’t Get Burned!
Color: Black Size: 9
An aptly named product, indeed. After a relatively slow firing schedule (about 60rds in 10-15 minutes), the cover was too hot to touch comfortably, but definitely “cool” enough that you’ll have plenty of warning before it actually hurts you. Took about 20 minutes to cool sufficiently where I thought it was safe to pack up. If you are planning on mag dumping some extra spicy loads, I can’t say it’ll save you. But then nothing could, probably. For the limitations imposed by nature and practicality, this seems to do as well as you could ever expect. ... show more

  • Sorely disappointed
Not completely burn proof when suppressing (full-auto-simulated) FRT AR15 223 cal, 7.5” SS barreled SBR with 10” titanium suppressor. Melted the suppressor cover after approximately 9-10 months of use, approximately 2000 rounds. Never more than three 30 rnd magazines of 223 fmj target ammo on any range day. So not a meltdown or torture test/never reached the 1200 degree maximum limit of the case liners that I use. Cover was in direct contact with titanium tube while in use. Held up well for maybe 800 rounds before the strings started smoking at range days. Upon removal after 2000 rounds, cover was internally melted to the point it could be heard cracking like glass and externally melted where it contacted the titanium tube. It was permanently formed to the tube and cracked in half when I attempted to flatten it back out. Strings appeared almost bleached and devoid of their original charcoal coloring and frayed/singed. I expected more from the product reputation, reviews and high price (in comparison to comparable competitors products). If you’re only shooting semi auto, 30 round range days, once a year… this will last your lifetime. But not for serious shooters. ... show more

  • Burn proof, not the best fit
For the life of me they can’t stay in after acouple hundred rounds and need adjusted a lot but have yet to burn me or my bags so they do their job. Just wish it would fit better.

  • Works for me!
Color: Black Size: 8.5
Got this despite some of the reviews having had theirs melted. It seemed the best option without spending multiple hundreds of dollars. I have had no issues with melting on mine even with relatively rapid firing. I have no doubt that SOMEONE would be able to heat up their suppressor enough to cause issues, but as long as you use the expanding sleeve under it, it shouldn't damage the suppressor in those scenarios. This is one of those things that you will have to make up your own mind on, however, having friends with some of the other options in this price range and lower, I am the only one that hasn't had melty melty issues. I would recommend it since I haven't had any issues, but of course depending on what you are doing your results may vary. (Tested on .22LR, 9mm, 5.56, 300blk using JK PCX 155) ... show more
