The rope looks nice but jacket has very little abrasion ability. A hard sideways pull will quickly use up its life. Good for light weight and owners that will only use a couple of times for their own emergency. I haven't used it yet, which is a good thing. Though install was a pain because the eye hole that you use to attach the rope to the reel was to thick and the one from the steel cable was to short. It took a bit to find one that worked, had to use washers as spacers.

Not 25,000lbs, my 12,000lb winch broke it yesterday when I was pulling some stumps, the stumps weren't anything huge (less than 8in diameter) but I understand this puts a lot of stress on the cable. However I was still surprised that my 12,000lb winch just tore it in half, as soon as the cable started to stretch a bit, it tore. I also didn't like that I had to weld on a tab from my old cable when I installed this one but that might be because the Barricade winch that I have just has a different adapter system. ... show more
