The band was a tad too tight. I purchased the Olev brand; but, it was clearly an everyday look. I ordered this watch and looked past the high return-rate notice. I am so glad I did. A little larger (diameter and visually) and thicker than many other ladies' watches. Seemingly powered by a Miyota 82S0 movement/caliber (based on the specs and looks - couldn't find any authoritative source for that information), rated for -20/+40 seconds/day accuracy. Nice mother of pearl face, but no face cutout to see the balance wheel, although the back has a full exhibition crystal to see the movement there. The crown is a bit small to try to wind it manually, but of course you can just wear it a few minutes to get it wound enough to set the time if it has wound down. Nice to find a ladies' automatic (mechanical, as opposed to quartz) watch - they're hard to find without a date display, which is what we were looking for since it will be worn intermittently, making the date display needlessly complex. ... show more

Would not recommend especially if your gifting the item. Due to delayed gifting date the return policy expired forcing me to deal with the manufacturer directly. Very inconvenient and quite embarrassing.

Exactly as described....the pic doesnt do it justice. Its definitely got some weight to it, without being too heavy. The face is large (easy to see without my glasses). As you scroll through the pictues, they show the watch actual size, so you can putyour wrist up to it & decide if the face is too large for you. Its beautifully made, the clasp is solid. I set it & put it on, it kept the time (which is the point, right?) & worked for several hours after I took it off. Its supposed to have a 40 hour reserve time....I cant speak to that. I think Id need to wear it all day to build up reserve time & Ive only worn it a few hours at a time. Overall, it was a fantastic purchase, I love it! ... show more
