The taste and smell of this fenugreek is quite strong and unpalatable, which is a BAD thing because when you take things in powders you tend to get more taste than you would like. It didn't seem so bad at first, but each day I dislike it more and more. So I have purchased empty capsules and a capsule filling machine, called the Capsule Machine, so that I can continue taking this supplement powder without having to taste it. It is more work and more expense to do it this way, but I wouldn't want to continue tasting the fenugreek daily and may have given it up without this alternative. It is difficult to know the exact effect of this fenugreek supplement because I take it in combination with other supplement powders. It would be difficult to determine which results belong to which supplements. However, I can say that since I have started taking it, the most noticeable thing has been an increased appetite. While it certainly was more enjoyable to have an appetite and the motivation to eat (makes eating more enjoyable), it has resulted in a bit of weight gain. I reduced the dosage of the fenugreek, primarily, and also the other suspected supplements, and my appetite returned to normal. The other supplements I began taking at the same time include chasteberry and saw palmetto, with the goal of feminization or at least an increase in hair growth on my scalp. I will update this review at a later date these results become evident. Although I am happy to receive the numerous other benefits listed on many medical information sites. Ever since discovering BulkSupplements, I buy all my supplements here if it is available. The cost is so much more reasonable. I got so much more for my money and knowing that it is 100% pure means I don't have to try to figure out how much I'm actually getting for what I'm paying. Other supplement sources tend to combine it into blends and fillers and in my opinion that is only a means to dilute the product to inflate their profits. BulkSupplements powders always appear consistent quality, and uniform in color and texture. This gives me confidence in the quality of the source product.

So I got this bc I was out of fenugreek and it was cheaper this way and I already have a few other powders I take. I saw some review said the taste was bad and I thought it was no big deal bc I’ve done unflavored amino acids before. I was not prepared. I mixed my powder into some OJ and managed one swig and thought I was going to vomit. Fenugreek is seriously awful. If the smell doesn’t get you the taste will. The taste also lingers in your mouth. I had to eat a spoon of peanut butter followed by a ginger chew and water and still had faint remnants of the taste in my mouth. That being said the quantity for the value is great and it’s nothing that can’t be fixed by ordering some capsules and filling them. I’d still buy it again but with the intent of filling capsules.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HOW TO FIX ISSUES WITH THE BAG NOT SEALING PROPERLY --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- First off, let me start with this little tip that will save you from the potential headache of the zipper on the bag not sealing properly. When the bags are filled, they are not sealed off by using the zipper, and instead the top of the bag is sealed instead. This leads to the product moving around in the bag during shipping and handling, which ultimately leads to it getting in the zipper tracks. The simple solution is once you open up the bag for the first time, take a toothpick and use the tip to clean out the inside of the tracks, as well as the outside of the single track. Once you do this, you will find that it is much easier to get the zipper to work, and that it provides a great seal. ----------------------- Product Review ----------------------- So far I have been using this product for almost two weeks. This product does give off the familiar fenugreek "syrupy" smell, and does add a slightly syrup taste to whatever you mix it in. I originally chose this product for several of its benefits, which are noted on examine.com: [...] I use this as part of my After Workout stack: ■ Whole Milk - 8 oz ■ Coconut Oil - 1 TBSP (add after mixing and mix again) ★ Whey Protein - 1 Scoop - 31g ★ Choline L-Bitartrate - 1200 mg ★ Pantothenic Acid (B-5) - 550 mg ★ Fenugreek - 1000 mg Overall I am very satisfied with the quality and price of this product, and will continue to purchase until I find something better.

As with all the BulkSupplements products, I am satisfied with the quality and price. I deducted one star because the strength of the extract is not specified. Less importantly, the ziplock is defective, which prevents proper closure.
