I use this product when I make an apricot, fig, raisins mixture which is good with breakfast. I place the fruit in a saucepan with water, vanilla, cinnamon and cook until the desired tenderness. You can also add apple slices, pears and another wanted ingredients. Be creative and enjoy.

I hesitated to purchase due to some bad reviews but i am glad i bought it. Good quality cinnamon. Of course it does not taste and smell like Cassia Cinnamon.. Cassia cinnamon has a very strong taste smell and sweetness.. Ceylon cinnamon is better on nutrition but does not have the sweet taste or strong smell.. so know what to expect.. i personally like the quality.. ... show more

I have to say that I really enjoy this Ceylon Cinnamon; the flavor starts out light and then becomes spicy but sweet at the same time, which is very enjoyable. I've noticed that the flavor is more concentrated in the middle of the Ceylon stick; at first, you might wonder where the flavor is, but when you get to the middle, boom flavor! When you grind a fresh stick, the taste permeates the powder. I believe I have a solution for those looking for that extra kick of Cassia Cinnamon; I tested two options. 1. Mix a small amount of Cassia Cinnamon into your freshly ground Ceylon Cinnamon; because Cassia Cinnamon is very strong and spicy, a small amount will suffice while still reducing the "Coumarin" content. 2. This is my personal favorite. Take two or three cloves and grind them with the Ceylon Cinnamon. The small amount of cloves will not overpower the flavor of the Ceylon Cinnamon, but will add that extra kick that many of us are accustomed to from Cassia Cinnamon. Remember that Ceylon is not Cassia, so judge it accordingly. In any case, I'll be buying Ceylon Cinnamon in stick form from now on, because freshly ground cinnamon is the way to go! ... show more
