These fixtures look so much better than a bare bulb. They give off a decent amount of light and install just like screwing in a lightbulb. Overall I'm pleased with all but one feature: Even though it says the product had a pull "chain" it's actually just a string. With repeated use I suspect the string will eventually break where it rubs against the fixture. I would have preferred an actual chain that would stand the test of time. ... show more

    • Great solution to replace bare bulb closet lights

We used these to replace Behr bulb lights and all of our closets at a rental house we have. It was required by fire safety to do so, and will certainly make the closet fixture less of a fire hazard. They also create much more light than a bare bulb, which is an added benefit. Very easy to install.

The media could not be loaded. Just installed one of two and I feel like a fool for not knowing about these before. I live in a house where the previous tenant broke the globe light fixtures leaving only a bare bulb in several places. Issues are three-fold: the single bare light bulb is simultaneously too bright and not difffuse enough; I hate globe lights because they're ugly; replacing any portion of these fixtures is a pain to me and my landlord. Do I buy another globe that I hate? Get my landlord to replace the fixture and consign myself to an equally ugly boob light and have people running around my home during the pandemic? I found these lights while I was looking at various light fixtures on amazon and thought I'd try them. They're cute enough; sleek and sort of generic. Just the right kind of design to completely fail to grab the eye- total opposite of jutting globe and boob fixtures. It fits in any modern setting. Perfect! The pull string is functional and feels secure; when in the on position it behaves as a regular bulb. Excellent! It's light enough that I can install it one handed. Convenient! And I dont have to check in with my landlord to install them! These all make for a 5 star item, but the best part is the light quality. GOODBYE SEASONAL DEPRESSION! These lights really do have a lovely daylight cast- if you are like me and you start falling asleep under fluorescent lights then let me assure you the daylight is real! Tell your friends! College students! Fellow basement dwellers! Aspiring but poor interior designers! Look at this! These are such a great buy I'm shocked I haven't heard of these before. I want to install them everywhere. I'm scouring my house for more globe lights to replace in the future. ... show more

Easy to install. Remote works well with different lights ie soft to bright. I don't like doing reviews so soon I've only had them a week. The real test is will they last?

    • Makes lots of light, short pull chain

The item is as advertised. Lots of bright white light. Short pull chain. It's not particularly cost effective. In my case the original switched lamp socket failed. It wouldn't switch on and off. The most cost effective repair would have been a new socket for about $5. Throw in a new LED bulb for another $1and you're at about $6. These are 2 for about $34 or almost 3 times the price with a more complex installation unless you're just replacing the original bulb but then the cost ratio is more like 17 to 1. But, it does look nicer than a bare bulb. ... show more

    • How to install LED Lighting in an RV

We LOVE these bulbs !! I have three installed in our RV and with a little ingenuity they work and look awesome. The 3 fixtures replaced were in our Slideouts and they required 120V A/C . They also required a self contained switch ( there was no wall switch ). We are upgrading to LED lights ( A/C & D/C ) thruout the RV. We use less energy and have very improved lighting. I needed to be creative to install the new bulbs. The slideouts do not have electrical boxes and I had to cut a circular hole in the ceiling in order to wire and support the lights. They give great light and only protrude a few inches from the ceiling. The pull chain is in easy reach. The old fixtures had ugly glass globes and a knob to needed to be turned to operate. The old fixtures hung about 6 inches from the ceiling and were giving off unwanted heat and a dim light. These lights can also be simply screwed into an existing overhead fixture with very little difficulty. I may add some photos to this post since a picture tells a thousand words ! ... show more

    • Impressive lights, easy install, very low power drain

These lights are excellent! We are finishing out the inside of a small 310 ft² cabin to live in while we build the house we want. We just needed two of these. The pull chain meant we needed less wiring. We chose them because they are integrated L.E.D. and supposed to be very bright. We were not disappointed at all. We had the electrician install them while he was wiring the house. They were very easy and simple. Our electrician like that a lot. He liked the design too and said they were a smart choice. I could even install them if I need. Which is impressive since I do not know jack about electrical wiring. They run very little power. All our lights are L.E.D. The front porch light, the two flood lights, our attic light, and these two. After a week of having power to our house/property and running all of them, nothing else except a radio and charging our phones, we only used 8 kilowatts of electricity. I highly recommend these lights. ... show more
