    • No PLANS Inside !! Read the Rvoews!
Bought this looking for shed plans. This book is a catalog that you can then go to a website and BUY the plans. Picked one that was $100 only to find out it was actually $175. Continuing to be stupid, I bought it only to find out that unless you can print the PDF to 18 x 36 size, they are USELESS because you can't read them. Even then, the plans are POOR at best and contain insufficient detail unless you are an experienced builder. Ended up getting them printed 18 x 36 for another $30 only to find out they lack details for building. DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY! NO REFUNDS ON PLANS! About $200 down ... NO SHED PLANS! ... show more

It appears that buyers either hated it or loved it (scores were mostly 1 or 5. I think it depends on what you wanted. The book has 144 pages: Pages 3 - 46 are concise information about how to build a shed. Its somewhat condensed, but well written and a DIYer could build a shed from the information presented. Pages 47 thru 144 are shameless advertising for building plans - it's no more than a catalog of their plain offerings. The prices are excessive, for example the drawings for a simple 8' x 8' shed is $60, for a set of 5 copies - $90, for a PDF file- $100. Some plans have CAD files which are VERY expensive - several hundred dollars. On the plus side, the pictures can give a reader ideas and they can draw up their own plans, so this section is somewhat useful. Other shed building books I have seen have similar pictures, but they don't sell the plans. So if you're looking for detailed shed drawings, you will be disappointed, If you are looking for building techniques and the option to buy (expensive) plans, you will be thrilled. If you (like me) are looking for building techniques and perhaps some ideas, you will be somewhat pleased. The book is inexpensive and in my opinion, worth the money. By the way, a more comprehensive book on building techniques with some plan sketches (not actual drawings) with only 32 pages of plan advertisements - see Barns, Sheds, and Outbuildings by the same publisher. While there is some useful info in this book, it is deceptive as it says there are plans inside, but they are NOT included - they just tell you how to order them for ridiculous prices.
