This Bugaboo Turtle Air Shield by Nuna with recline base has exceeded every expectation I had for an infant car seat. It truly feels like a top-tier safety product designed with both comfort and protection in mind. Installation with the base was straightforward, and the built-in indicators made it very easy to confirm everything was secured correctly. That alone gives a lot of confidence, especially for new parents who want to be absolutely sure their child is safe. The seat itself is extremely lightweight, which makes transferring it in and out of the car much easier than expected. Despite being light, it feels very solid and well-constructed, with premium materials throughout. The padding and insert are soft, supportive, and clearly designed for newborn comfort. I also really appreciate how smoothly it integrates with compatible strollers, making travel and errands much easier without disturbing the baby. The recline base adds flexibility that helps ensure a more comfortable position during longer rides. Everything about this seat feels intentional and high-quality, from the harness system to the overall build. It’s one of those products where you immediately feel the difference in safety engineering compared to standard options. Overall, this is an outstanding infant car seat that delivers top-level safety, comfort, and ease of use. It gives real peace of mind every time my child is in the car. Easily a 5-star product and then some.

I love bugaboo. All of their products that I have tried are high quality and smart, this car seat is no exception. I have a donkey 6 stroller which is compatible with the car seat using an adapter. I love how easy it is to use the car seat. The base is easy to install in the car and after that, the car seat clicks on effortlessly. This makes it easy to take the car seat with you into the store or you can buckle the baby in while inside if it’s hot for example. I wish it would click on directly to the bugaboo strollers without an adapter. For this reason I’ve deducted a star. With the adapter it’s simple and I actually thought about getting this model before but couldn’t justify spending so much money on an infant car seat. But if you got it like that, why not? Honestly it’s whatever fits into your budget and makes sense for your family. The design is super nice and aesthetic. Matches perfectly with a black stroller and car. The baby seems to be sitting comfortably in it. Overall I love this car seat just like all other bugaboo products I’ve tried. If you can comfortably afford it I would recommend it!

The Bugaboo Turtle Air Shield by Nuna is a premium infant car seat + base combo, and it’s definitely in the luxury tier. You’re paying for the Bugaboo + Nuna collaboration, which combines Bugaboo’s design with Nuna’s safety engineering. It feels like one of the lightest infant car seats I've picked up. That matters when you’re carrying a 10+ lb baby plus a seat multiple times a day. Your shoulders will thank you. This price includes the Recline Base, which lets you adjust the angle for a better fit in your car and helps keep newborns from slumping. Installation is usually simple with Nuna’s True Lock system. The high price tag can be justified for peace of mind with the added safety features like side impact protection and energy-absorbing foam. It also has a load leg on the base, which reduces rotation in a crash. These are features you usually only see at this price point. It clicks directly into Bugaboo strollers without adapters or you can purchase adapters for it to fit a variety of other brands but check which ones before purchasing to make sure it will be compatible. If you plan to have more kids, you can get even more value out of it, but if not, the seat holds resale value well if you plan to sell it after. The all-black fabric looks sleek and the canopy is generous for sun coverage, overall this is an amazing car seat!

Good, but a very cheap canopy with no zipper to hold the sunshade extension. The canopy material falls on the baby's head when folded. also a memory unlock buttons to remove from stroller from the stroller base will be better for a one hand use

The Bugaboo car seat is a quality choice in many ways. The cushioning is very soft, and the fabric feels durable and well-made. It is easy to use, clicking smoothly into the base and adjusting with little effort. The car seat is truly lightweight. The only drawback noted was the “turtle air shield” net. The magnets on the corners aren’t very strong, so it doesn’t stay in place well and can easily come loose with small movements. When it folds back into the cover, it creates a bit of a bulky look. An issue like this is not something I would expect for the price point. Overall, the most important features (safety and comfort) of this car seat are solid.

I picked up the Bugaboo Turtle Air Shield by Nuna car seat with the recline base because I wanted something lightweight that would still feel premium and easy to use every day, and in my experience it has delivered on both. The first thing I noticed was how surprisingly light the carrier feels when lifting it in and out of the car, which makes a huge difference when I am already carrying a diaper bag and other baby essentials. The seat feels well padded and supportive, and the fabric has a soft breathable feel that seems comfortable during longer rides. I really like the built in canopy since it offers good coverage when moving between the car and stroller, and the magnetic peek window makes it easy for me to quickly check on my baby without disturbing naps. Installation with the recline base was straightforward, and the indicators helped me feel confident that everything was locked in correctly. The recline adjustment has been especially helpful because I was able to fine tune the angle in my vehicle instead of settling for a one position setup. What stood out to me most is how smoothly it works as part of a travel system. I use it with my Bugaboo stroller and it clicks in securely without any awkward adapters or guesswork, which makes errands much easier. The handle feels sturdy and comfortable to grip, and I appreciate that the seat feels secure without being bulky. I have also noticed that the buckle system is easy to adjust as my baby grows, and the straps tighten smoothly without twisting. After several weeks of regular use, everything still feels solid and well made with no rattling or loose parts. It has made everyday travel feel much less stressful, and I feel like the combination of lightweight design, thoughtful safety features, and overall convenience makes this a car seat I am very happy with.

This 'Bugaboo' car seat is an excellent choice for holding, and the transportation, with little ones. I was really impressed right off the bat, with how nicely this product was presented. It's got directions that are easy to follow, and installation was a breeze. This is a very nice, luxe type of baby seat and carrier; I love how sturdy and durable everything feels. The seat itself is very soft and has space for babies to sit, and to grow with. The base of the car seat works well in different types of vehicles, at least in my experience (and research). I love how the seat snaps into the base like a breeze. Not only is this a great car seat, but it's also a lovely space for babies to sit in. The Turtle Air Shield works like a very nice umbrella, shielding baby from sun or precipitation. The top part (the shield) can come down easily, and also be put back up. This is an excellent baby seat, and very well made. I've been using it for a while now, to take care of my little nephew. I love how it has worked out, and I feel confident in using this car seat. He also seems to find it comfortable and cozy, from what I observe. This is a little more than what I would typically be willing to spend on a car seat; however, this is made with such high quality materials, and has various safety features that make it stand out. For this reason, I do think this is a decent value for the price point. I'm very happy with this product, as well as it's overall look, and easy to use format. I would definitely recommend this car seat to others, and am very pleased with it.

We’ve been using the Bugaboo Turtle Air Shield by Nuna with the Recline Base and overall, it’s been a fantastic infant car seat. It’s incredibly lightweight, which makes carrying it in and out of the car so much easier—especially during those early newborn days. The materials feel premium and well-made, and the design is sleek and modern. It pairs perfectly with our Bugaboo stroller, clicking in seamlessly for smooth transitions. The Recline Base is a standout feature. Installation was straightforward, and the recline function gives great peace of mind knowing our baby is positioned comfortably and safely. The canopy offers excellent coverage, and the added Dream Drape is a thoughtful touch for naps on the go. The only downside—and the reason for deducting one star—is the magnet on the Air Shield (Dream Drape). It’s not as strong as it should be and doesn’t always stay securely in place, especially if there’s movement or wind. It’s not a dealbreaker, but for a premium-priced seat, I expected that detail to be more solid. Overall, this is a high-quality, lightweight, stylish car seat with excellent safety features and convenience. Despite the small magnet issue, I would definitely recommend it.
