This is my product review but from the perspective of a first time user of a buffer like this. Historically, I've done the Daniel Larusso "wax on / wax off" manually. The car in the pictures is 4 years old, never washed by hand, and never waxed by hand so it had a lot of stuff that standard car washing wouldn't take off. Using this, I don't have that problem any longer. With this product, there are two sized wheels. I used the small wheel with a foam cushion and the blue wrapper around it to put the wax on. WARNING: I would recommend either putting the wax directly on the blue wrapper or if you put it directly on the car, then don't turn the buffer on at first but just rub it around manually with the wheel lock button pressed. The reason for this is, when you turn on the wheel, liquid wax will fly everywhere, including all over you. After learning that, I was moving right along and waxed a Toyota land cruiser from top to bottom. After applying the wax (I did in various sections), then placing the bigger wheel on with the white cloth wrapper was used to rub the wax off. You don't have to press hard, let the machine do the work and just lightly make contact with the buffer and the car. This has various speeds but I kept it around 1 to 2 on the settings as even that is really fast. Going to the highest speed is extremely fast and I wasn't comfortable with that. I do love that it has two handles. The U shaped handle which I used, or just one side handle that you can put on the left or right side. This also can be used as a sander and comes with 4 round sandpaper pieces. I don't think I'll use this as a sander as I have other ones but it's nice to have that versatility.     • Good finishing and buffing tool.
I got this rotary sander to refinish some wooden chairs, and I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was sand down, and smooth. The included sanding tips include 400, 800, and 1200 grit, which are perfect to use after the hand/disc sanding process, as they quickly smooth out the surface. Additionally the foam attachments allow for easy clean-up and buffing once done. One concern I have about this sander is that it heats up pretty quickly, and it maintains that heat as long as the sander is on. Nice complete buffer package. Fixed some damage on my Camper and did the body work already. Next is paint and clear coat. I picked this up for buffing out the clear coat. Its works well and has so many attachments. Will be good for reducing the buffing compounds from course to fine and followed up with soft microfiber covers. It has two handle options and for my application I will just use the round handle which I feel will give me more control. The speed button has a nice feel to it and you can lock it to the on position for larger sections. ... show more

Received this the other day for use in the garage. I haven't used it on the truck yet, but so far, I'm happy with the build quality and included accessories. The unit runs well, and the motor seems like it will last many years.
