Love the look and feel of this neck wrap. The size is generous. I am accustomed to rice neck wraps and compared to those the buckwheat does not get as hot as those. However, it does hold the heat for longer. It also takes about twice as long to heat up as rice. Overall, very nice next wrap. Very good quality. Have not used as a cold wrap.

An excellent product. At this writing, I have been using the Bucky Hot/Cold Therapy Body Wrap for about 90 days in my full time massage therapy practice. It is a wonderful addition to my client's comfort and relaxation as well as my ability to work out the knots and tight spots once the area has been warmed for a few minutes by the Bucky Body Wrap. I usually heat the Buck Body Wrap in the microwave for about 2 minutes on high before the client is about to arrive and then for 1 more minute when I step out of the room for them to disrobe and become comfortable on the massage table. I chose this particular size/model of Bucky Body Wrap because it is large enough to hold the heat, cover specific body parts of a variety of size/shaped clients and still be manageable as I move to different body segments during the massage therapy session. I usually start by placing the full length of the Bucky Body Wrap on the client's feet [always allowing for at least the thickness of the sheet between the Bucky Body Wrap and the client's skin], then as I move to different body segments -- it either proceeds my working an area to warm the fascia/muscles which allows me to work more deeply -- and/or -- follows me as I finish an area and want to add some extra warmth to more completely relax what I have just complete. Cautions: Don't over heat -- you may think it's not hot enough, but to the person who is relaxing warm is better than hot -- re-heat as needed, but be cautious of overheating the Bucky Body Wrap and using on children, the elderly or any one with skin issues of any kind as the heat may be irritating. Move the Bucky Body Wrap about every 1 to 3 minutes as needed and be sure to check in with the client or invite them to let you know if it is getting to hot/cold/annoying so that the Body Wrap doesn't become painful or a distraction. Also know that by overheating the buckwheat can have a bit of an unpleasant odor -- heat in small increments [2 minutes here/1 minute there] as recommended by the manufacturer. Overheating breaks down the desired therapeutic effects and will not enhance the massage therapy session for your client or yourself. I highly recommend this product. I am considering some of the other shapes and sizes available to address the specific needs of certain clients with certain conditions and have recommended that clients consider purchasing the Bucky Hot and Cold Therapy Body Wrap for their personal use at home and/or office if they have found it helpful during a professional massage therapy session.

I've had Bucky for years and love. I've bought it as a gift, and a recent issue caused it to get dirty and I bought a new one. I use it mainly for migraines, but also the heat feels great draped over to my abdomen. I fall asleep with Bucky, I use Bucky if I just don't feel well. Upper back and neck pain are Bucky's specialty, but any headache or yucky feeling that puts me in bed, Bucky is my comfort. I fall asleep with Bucky like it's a pillow or pet. People complain about the fill: no, don't. This is so you can disperse it as you want. If you want a large hard pressure-point, you can let the fill fall to one spot. If you want it evenly dispersed, or a smaller amount in an area, adjust for comfort. Stays warm a long time. Feels like moist heat - not wet, not even moist really, but definitely not dry like a heating pad. So cozy. I'm here because of an issue with my new Bucky, which is it arrived dusty. Not thrilled, but will find a way to wash. Outer cover is machine washable and machine dryable.

Microwaveable moist heat for shoulders and low neck area. Buckwheats grain like seeds are a low odor natural source of weight that can be microwaved up to 2 minutes at a time. The moist heat combined with soothing weight offers a relaxing sensation for tense muscles. Use caution when you heat your “Bucky” as each microwave is slightly different. Do not place directly on your bare skin immediately following removal from your microwave until you are certain it’s not too hot. Other reviewers mentioned mishaps with burning. Here are suggestions to optimize your experience: • Place Bucky on a large clean Corelle/microwave safe plate and make sure your microwave turntable is functional*. *The turntable provides a more even heat through the neck wrap. • Do a test run of 1 minute 30 seconds for first time use if you have concerns about your microwaves performance. •Do not heat for more than 2 minutes at one time. • Allow seeds to cool completely between re heating. Specifications: The neck wrap is just over 2 pounds (see images) . Easily tolerated by this 5’3” petite build person. The cover is removable and washable. I recommend gentle wash with air dry to prevent shrinking . I have had no issues with my Bucky and use on a semi regular basis. As a housekeeping note: to keep your Bucky odor free, do not heat in a dirty microwave. It will pick up the food odors.
