This is a great concept. The metal hoops that keep the insect mesh away from you are built into the hammock so it saves you set up and take down time. The mesh is well made, the hammock is well made, the steel hoops are spring steel and they fold (like and ikea laundry hamper if you have one) down and go back into the attached bag easily and quickly. I do have one gripe and it is worth knocking a star off for. The tree straps are way too short. I have two trees that I can string any hammock between with the manufacturer provided tree straps. These tree straps are less than half the length of the tree straps that normally come with a hammock. Thank you for reading my review and looking at my photos of this product. I really, really like this hammock. I'd suggest it's impossible not to like. It's just a really clever design, and it only weighs 1 lb 13 ozs. Amazing! It's extremely comfortable, and when you're cocooned with the netting zipped up, you feel impervious to mosquitos in this little comfy pod. It feels surprisingly luxurious. Another extremely clever aspect to the design are the straps that wrap around the trees. Each strap is over six feet long. One end has a single loop, the other end has incrementally sewn stopping points (see last photo). You just wrap the strap once or twice around a tree, pull the incremented end through the looped end, and connect the hammock carabiner to whichever increment gives you the best fit - you've got about 2-4' of room to play with to dial in a comfy hammock experience. Lastly, I really like how easy it is to deploy and fold up when done. It stores in it's own attached little bag (see third photo). The only reason this is four stars instead of five, is the hammock fabric is thin. Crazy thin! Don't climb in with anything remotely pointy in your back pocket thin. I spent the first several minutes in mild terror expecting to hear a tearing sound and then hitting the ground. But of course it never happened, and after I could trust the gravity-defying material, it was blissfully comfortable. I love to think this will last for a long time, but the parachute-type material makes me think it's days will be numbered. Also, I'm a bit nervous that mosquitoes and their pals can simply bite me through the thin hammock material. All that stated - I just love this thing. It's very, very clever! ... show more

First, even though the material is thin and lightweight, it appears to be quite strong. It held me at 240lbs and my oldest boy at 260lbs with no problem. Set up is pretty easy and similar to other hammocks of this style that I have. You have one fixed length strap and one that has multiple loops to allow for adjusting the length of that connection. The netting is very nice if you live in a buggy environment. Helps keep out mosquitoes, gnats, no-seeums, etc... All in all it is a very comfortable hammock and pretty easy to transport (not the most compact but still pretty small). Easy to toss in my kayak or backpack, and makes a great addition to our outdoor activities. ... show more

At 6’2” and 250 pounds I typically prefer hammocks advertised to hold two. However, this one held me and would be comfortable enough for me to use in the backyard. The straps look to be just average durability. My preference is for a nice thick and durable strap even if it adds a little weight. The zipper was probably my biggest complaint though none of my complaints are gamechangers here. It seemed to snag easily and just wasn’t overly smooth. On the positive side this held me well, my kid really enjoyed it, it hangs quickly and easily, and it is at a great price especially considering the built in net.
