The price is great for these solar lights. Here’s why I gave them 5 stars: * They are plastic, but the plastic is sturdy. * They come in a small box, but don’t be alarmed—all 8 are there. I liked the packaging efficiency. * The stakes come separate from the lights/solar panels, and they easily slide together. * The dark sensors to activate these lights work well. They only come on as it gets dark, which is great because they are automatic and easy. * We live in a very sunny climate, so the solar power for these lights is a perfect feature. It allows us to place them anywhere in the yard without having to run a power cable. * So easy to install. Really, I just stick them in my yard and never have to worry about them again. These are incredibly straightforward to set up - you stick them in the ground, set the angle for the solar panel, turn on the light, adjust the brightness, and you're done!

What you get: eight solar spotlights. These solar spotlights require light assembly and are easy to use. There are three brightness settings from low to high. The brightness can be adjusted just by clicking the “on” button repeatedly. The solar charging panel is large and generous. These solar lights are 12 inches high, including the stake. They are short once the stake is in the ground so keep that in mind. On the brightest setting, the light is bright and white. These lights are a quality construction, adjustable, easy to use and provide nice lighting for your home. These lights have a nice unobtrusive appearance and should blend in easily. This set of 8 solar lights will be used as landscape lighting throughout our yard. The lights have a large solar panel and are easy to assemble. Just remove the protective film covering the solar panel, and insert the stake into the bottom. Don't forget to press the power button, which is on the back of the light. Press it once for low beam, twice for medium beam and three times for high beam. I'm keeping ours on the medium level. It's nice to have a set of 8 lights, but time will tell how well they hold up to the outdoor elements. The plastic housing is a lighter to medium weight, and there is an adjustable screw to set the tilt of the light. The included instructions are clear and easy to follow. The price may be a bit high for the quality, compared to the big box stores. I'll update my review after I know how well these hold up over time. ... show more

These are the nicest landscape lights I've bought yet. Many of my previous attempts at lighting the palms in my yard have only lasted for a few months. Usually, they are made of cheap plastic, which breaks when my big dog invariably runs them over. Some have even snapped as I've pushed the stake into the ground. While these lights are mostly plastic, as most things are now, it's thicker and good quality. The solar panel and light heads each have hinges so it's easy to position them to receive sunlight and throw their night light after pitching the stake. The button on the bottom lets you select different brightnesses for different purposes. They seem to charge right up and stay on all night. I'm quite happy with them! ... show more

    • Easy to assemble and turn on
I like that these to not have multiple complex key press requirements to turn them on and set them to the correct brightness. My last set had to cycle through a million clicks to simply have them come on in the dark and at the highest setting. All you have to do to put them in service is push the head on to the spike, remove the film on the solar panel, and press the button to turn it on. On the third and highest setting they put out a nice amount of accent light on my plants and bushes. I can't say that they last all night, because when I go to sleep they are still on, and they turn off in the daylight. ... show more
