This rug is incredibly soft. It lays nicely under our coffee table. I have not needed to use carpet tape on our 4' x 6' version. It's heavy enough with the rubber backing to stay in place, even with a dog and a toddler grandson. I love that it's washable, but I haven't had it long enough to need to do that yet. I bought this rug to replace an old rug in my kitchen. It's super soft, which I didn't expect and looks better than my old one I paid more money for. If I had known it was this nice, I would have ordered two! As you can see it meets my dog's approval.
