These lights work great, and my plants are doing well under them during the winter. The mounting clamp is strong, and the adjustable arms stay where I put them. My only complaint is with the timer. You have to turn the lights on and start the timer at the specific time of day that you want them to come on via the timer. If power is lost, the timer setting is also lost. ... show more

As you can see I have a few of these grow lights. They're inexpensive and user friendly with the clamp that holds them in place. I have a slightly different spectrum selection (red, red/blue, and blue) on the mature plants (not this lamp). The lamps in the 2nd 2 pictures are these lamps with "Yellow light wavelengths use 640-660nm, and white light wavelengths are used 460-470nm". If you're not a fan of the "pink" hue, then these give off "white" light. I've just started seeds in grow boxes with these lamps over them yesterday. These particular seeds do require light to germinate, so please research your seeds before going this route as some do not. There is also a heat pad under the seed boxes to promote germination. With limited space, a bathtub and plastic tub lids make my seed starting area. Keep the instruction sheet since the buttons on the control part of the light are very small. The timer choices and white or yellow or both is also nice. I have them on 12hr and both light wavelengths. Note- I'm not sure the light is penetrating the plastic seed box top, so I'm taking them off until I can contact both companies. My guess is it won't penetrate very well. ... show more
