  • It came exactly a described and in great shape.
Style: Golden Gate Ficus
It was expertly packed. The soil was still moist and tree was undamaged. It’s a good looking tree with a good thick trunk and a beautiful “s” curve. I’m happy. It’s in good health far as I can tell. The rest is up to me.

  • Amazing beautiful plant!
Style: Golden Gate Ficus
This is far more beautiful than I expected. The aged curvy trunk makes it artsy and interesting. Clearly 7 or 8 years old growth. It is 16 “ tall which is larger than described. Great packaging, fast shipping. Love it, can be shaped when and if I want. Great purchase.

  • Very, very happy with purchase
Style: Golden Gate Ficus
Wanted a new hobby so I ordered 3. Came in two boxes. Carefully packaged—no damage, no soil even spilled. Can’t wait to get started but I’m waiting for the how to book I ordered. The 101 bonsai tip book it comes with is not detailed enough for a beginner.

  • Love this!
Style: Golden Gate Ficus
I bought this for my Dad for Father’s Day. He absolutely loves it. It was packaged nicely to keep the tree safe. I thought it was going to have a blue container but it was green when we received it. Not a huge deal, I just prefer blue. I would buy from this seller again. It has me wanting one of my own. ... show more

  • Not sure why low reviews, was a beautiful starter and has been quite hardy
Style: Golden Gate Ficus
Mine looked pretty impressive for a bonsai starter when I got it. It then lost a lot of leaves (standard for any plant that was shipped, a stress response) but bounced back. Two years later, it's still happy and healthy, and I am a complete novice who's never had a bonsai before. I soak it (ficus) with water about once a week using a mister bottle. Prune it once a year. Use some wire to aim the branches in different ways. I don't even put it outside. Just indoors, in a window that doesn't even face the sun. ... show more

  • Scam do not purchase
I attempted to replace my granddaughter Bonzi tree (middle) which I had given to her as a gift. I had overwatered it and it died of root rot. It was also a spruce which do not do well indoors. I purchased the one on the left, which was much larger, but within the 8-10” range when measured from the dirt up. I was so pleased with it health, if not it’s size, that I order the one on the right, which was 4-5”above the 8-10” that I ordered. Though health, it was higher and did not meet the description of the tree it claimed to be. The foliage began at the bottom, not the top, and the other two trees, if that was the intent, appeared to branch out from the same tree. We’re it intended to be three separate trees, they would be standing side by side and again, the foliage would be at the top of the tree, not the bottom. I email the company for a refund or exchange. They advertise a full refund for any reason within the first 30 days, but they refused to refund or replace it, stating only that it was just healthier and I should be pleased. I was not and called Amazon, explained the issue and they refunded me for both trees immediately. Since then, the tree on the left lost all of it leaves because the top had been sniped off, likely because it too exceeded the ten inches, and likely died of shock, assuming it is a tree at all. Now they are selling the ‘super health’ model (right) for 2-3 times the price of the one I purchased. Had these trees been planted and been growing for as long as they claimed, it might have been taller, with bends in the tree (left) but it would not be a tall “pre bonzi” tree, which means you get to wire it up yourself and over time, it will form the twists and turns, forcing it to slow it’s grow considerably. This did not happen for the one on the right, and I suspect the left might have been a naturally occurring bend. I gave them the benefit of doubt until I saw the snipped tree. Now 2 prior customers described similar events but I bet on the law of averages and assumed it was an anomaly. It was not. There should be a class action suit brought against them. We’re I not 70, I just might have devoted myself to that, but there more important things in life and I lack the time to deal with it, though I hope Amazon acts on it as it was a “Amazon Recommendation” which has seldom failed me. I assume it is because it is also what I appeared to want. But not always, so there’s that. I look to consistency of bad reviews and the stars given to the best bang for the buck, or it’s equivalent. I have been with Amazon almost from it’s beginning in order, initially to deal with not delivered USPS packages, and stayed because the pricing is usually as good if not better, as I compare prices regularly and I have stayed because of the service, and reliability of delivery, though I am guessing that Amazon has run amuck of political issues itself. (Sigh). What isn’t these days. We have bigger fish to fry. ... show more
