The Pony Tail Palm is not actually a palm; this native of southeastern Mexico is actually a member of the lily family and, also goes by the names Bottle Palm and Elephant Foot Palm because of its bulbous base. I have purchased trees from this seller previously and have always been very pleased with the quality of tree I received as well as the fast shipping. When I ordered this tree it arrived quickly and very well packed. When I took the tree out of the box it did not look well, which seemed odd for how well it was packed. I contacted the seller and sent pictures to see what they would recommend to to help revive the tree if possible. The seller reached out to me and said the tree appeared to have gotten frozen in transit (which I know was beyond there control). The seller did not hesitate and told me they would send out a new tree as soon as they felt it was,safe to ship again, probably March. Sure enough, on march 19 I received another tree in the mail.
