I really don't think I've ever been so happy with a purchase, PERIOD. I made sure to wait at least 2 weeks before writing my review to make sure the bonsai both arrived healthy and stayed that way after the shipment process and whatnot. The first picture I've included is how my bonsai looks now, well over two weeks after it arrived, and all those after are sequential throughout the past few weeks! I searched for a while on Amazon for the perfect bonsai-- I'm in medical school, so really wanted one to have something in my bedroom which is calming, natural and grounding like a bonsai to help with the stress. I have a cat, so had to do some searching for a species which isn't toxic to animals, and landed on a Fukien. I also wanted to purchase a bonsai which was already fairly tall/aged so that I could appreciate it right away and increase the chances of it surviving with me! First off, the bonsai was packed impeccably, by which I mean I was astonished to see that not a single leaf had fallen during shipping and even all of its beautiful, little white flowers were still perfectly intact. I thought that surely it would have sustained some kind of damage during shipping, but this company clearly takes great care in ensuring their plants make it to their destination safe. Second, the product photos provided in the description do it NO JUSTICE! The tree was far more beautiful than I ever imagined right out of the box, and even was in bloom with small white flowers. I assumed that it would be untrimmed and I'd have to prune it to make it look like the stock photo, but it came out of the box exactly as it is now-- I did nothing to it! Specifics after unpacking my sweet lil' bonsai: The bonsai comes in the plastic soil planter as pictured in the stock photos. I bought the planter in my photos off of Amazon at the same time (a 10" diameter draining planter), as I wanted a larger, more aesthetically pleasing planter for my bonsai to live in long term. I did some reading on bonsai and found that they need good drainage capabilities to do well, so I also bought cactus/succulent soil (high drainage soil type) at Lowe's to pack the rest of the area around the planter. The plastic container it arrives in is 6" tall and the planter I bought is 5" tall, and I actually love the way it made the bonsai appear as if it were on its own little island after packing the soil around it (I wanted to be sure to not disturb its existing root system at all, so I cut away the plastic and planted it totally intact). Then I bought some lapis lazuli pebbles off of amazon to look like water surrounding it, as well as the cute little figurine! In the first few days, I got nervous because some of the leaves started turning yellow and falling off, so I was worried I'd under-watered or damaged it during potting, or that it couldn't survive the shipping process. However, after about 3 days of yellow leaves coming and going, it's now all green, looking great, and has tons more little white flower blooms! This is an unbeatable product, especially for the price of $50! I will 10000% be buying another bonsai from this company and would recommend it to anyone! 1. Arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. 2. As expected, it began losing leaves immediately. 3. We watered it every day and have begun spritzing it daily in the last week. New growth began appearing within a couple of days after arrival. 4. Purchased a grow light after about 5 days. 5. As of now it is growing like crazy, putting out new leaves and even flowering. It already began touching the grow lights so we relocated them more off to the sides. We may have to buy taller lights! 6. The first uploaded picture shows it outside on the first day or so. We then brought it inside. The next picture shows it today with the lights and the third picture is of the little flower. SUMMARY: With the simple care noted above it is growing quickly and getting more and more beautiful. RECOMMENDED!! ... show more

    • Get A Golden Gate Fiscus.
I've bought 7 plants from this seller. 4 arrived healthy and beautiful, 1 was half dead, and 2 were shipped to me dead. I did some trimming to the dead ones to see if I could save them. The more trimming I did, I realized that these plants were totally dried out. Nothing alive in any limb I trimmed off. The soil was still moist, which means they had to have been shipped dead and they threw some water on them to make it look as though they died out during shipping. There's no way they dried out that much in 4 days. And to still have wet soil. 🤔 Anyway, I'm still holding out for them. It's been 2 weeks since the 2 dead ones and the half dead one arrived. I re-potted them all, and I have them under a grow light. The half dead one looks like it might be coming back to life. No signs of life from the dead ones. 4 Healthy Trees - Golden Gate Fiscus. Zero complaints about these guys! Easy to grow. Arrived healthy and new leaves are not uncommon. 1 Half Dead Tree - Satsuki Azalea. I think she might live. No new leaves yet, but the existing ones are trying to stay green. 2 Dead Trees - Fukien Tea. So, SO disappointed with these guys. Every limb I trimmed off in an attempt to save them was bone dry. They couldn't have dried out during shipping. They only took 4 days to arrive and the soil was still wet. Hoping I didn't waste $70+. ... show more

Oh my gosh! Y’all! When I tell you there was no better way that this tree could have been packed! I only got it today and I’ll update if things go downhill but that’s not what I’m expecting. I wish I hadn’t been too excited to do an unboxing video. The way this tree was packed, I could tell that they loved it just as much as I already do. There was Saran Wrap over the top of it to keep the moisture in it. There was a box placed diagonally inside the shipping box so that the tree couldn’t have moved more than a few millimeters in shipping. It was packed so very well that I, the queen of ordering from Amazon, was truly impressed. I could tell how much care they took with the tree. The tree itself is absolutely gorgeous! It has some blooms, a few flowers, and the leaves are a gorgeous green. It’s definitely a very sturdy healthy tree. It’s potted with great care as well. There’s drainage in the bottom of the pot. The potting is a mix of soil and small pebbles so that it gets thoroughly watered but also drains well. I see some mesh in there as well. The tree is a great size. It’s between 9 and 10 inches tall. With the pot, it stands a little over a foot tall. I am ecstatic with it and will be using this seller for any future purchases. ... show more

This is my second tree from Brussel's Bonsai, and once again, they delivered an amazingly healthy tree. There was a delay with the shipping that caused my bonsai to be delivered during the sudden polar vortex that sprang up overnight. It had me worried that the tree would succumb to the sudden cold, but it arrived in perfect condition and didn't even drop a leaf from its travels. The styling on this bonsai was also very nice.
