I bought 2 of these in August to give some shade to my chickens who have an aviary style grow out pen. Opening the package there was a strong chemical smell and lots of little 2in long trips of plastic. I didn't love that due to it being for animals. I picked what I could find out of the grass as stuff like that can clog a crop and ultimately kill a bird. I nearly gave it 4 stars for that reason, but seeing that I could pick the pieces up, and Im nice I am sticking with 5. The tarp is thick and has been through a few strong storms now. It holds up better than other tarps I have bought in the past. The eyelets are still intact and there has not been any thin spots or tears. It is in full wind and sun too. This is a very sturdy and durable tarp. I use it to cover my chicken run in the winter and it holding up very well to rain, snow, and wind. I expect it should last a few years and that's good value.
